  1. The top 15 in SDS are not eligible for the "Win and You're In" race at RWR. That being said, all qualifying for the 200 is completed   before the race at RWR takes place, so I don't know if they are eligible either. But I don't know why anyone that's qualified for the   200 would want to risk damaging their car at RWR, plus all the work to change the car and tires for RWR. Also there's a practice   session at the Mile held after the 358 race that gives teams the best chance to see how their car runs on track conditions close to   what it will be on Sunday and partic

  2. Howie, I guess technically anybody could run the RWR race, but again it's the night before the biggest race of the year and if your already qualified and serious about trying to as well as possible in the 200, I would think you would want to concentrate on getting everything ready for that race. As far as I know there is no rule regarding which car you qualify with winning at RWR and which car you use on Sunday.    I still say Steve gets a win with no asterisk.

  4. The place I see this being the most impactful is to those of us that have "street" cars that aren't 25 + years old and we've done things like add meth injection, swapped out exhaust, flashed the ECU with custom tunes, etc. Maybe I'm wrong but that's where I see the witch hunt.   While maybe completely unrelated, or completely related, it wasn't that long ago that auto manufacturers wanted to claim ownership to the ECU making it illegal (nothing at all to do with warranties which we all know are void if you start messing with the ECU, among other things) to flash, tune, etc.   JMO

  5. 2015 - "They're coming to take our Guns!!!!"   2016 - "They're coming to take our racecars!!!!"   LOL what will they be coming to take in 2017? Each year the paranoia is something different.

  9. Oh yes it is....if implemented, long range....ban auto racing of all types.  And don't you think the EPA doesn't have fireworks in it's sights.  Backyard,  and municipal commercial displays as well.  Control freaks at their worst.       Actually, the fireworks thing makes sense -- especially to those of us who live where air pollution becomes a big deal.  I never understood this myself when I lived in the East where there really aren't that many air quality issues.  It wasn't until I moved west that I understood what bad air really is.  As

  10. Could be.  Like all the rest?  (Stewie and Horton at OCFS?)  Tell you what, they are going to have a tough time with our regulars.  I predict that it's gonna be a great season at the old Hard Clay.   I Agree With You DaRooster....Should Be A Great Year

  12. For those thinking electric race cars are the way to go, I invite you to watch a Formula E race.   I rest my case...

  13. Whoa whoa whoa right there. A 4cyl guy building an electric car? Have you seen some of the active 4cyl racecars? I wouldnt even strap my worst enemy in most of them things. Allot of them guys dont even work on their car during the week and just show up on the weekends. Was helping a 4cyl guy next to us one night who got towed in cause he ran out of gas. He opened his trunk and there was a chainsaw and a few other misc items he stored in there over the winter. And we are projecting the 4cyl class as the new electric car class? Never gonna happen. There is not the ambition, knowledge, will power

  14.   It would be nice to see a track get Friessen, Dr, Hearn, Wight, and Sheppard to duke it out weekly.  I wish Canandiagua would pay all those guys show money.  But, they probably wouldn't have anything left for the purse.  According to his book, they paid Bob McCreadie for a while. I'm sure they did that with others. Seems like a good investment if it's not too high.  I always wonder why some of these guys like DR going all the way down to Accord or Paine going up to Granby or Cornwall - don't remember.  Long way to haul.  Money must be changing ha

  17. ramspatsjags14.... i would love to see you get behind the wheel of an electric race car... a good hit and next thing you know you have acid leaking, fires(i would rather a gas fire than a battery fire any day) it would not be safe by no means or even close to being cost effective.... i could go on for days but ill just chalk it up to i completely disagree with your statement.... no matter what the PR would be because There WOULD be mass amounts of negative to go with that

  18. I think that car owners should be required to do whatever message board posters suggest. On the other hand car owners should be required to tell message board posters how to live their lives and how to spend their money. After all what's sauce for the goose should be sauce for the gander. I an just glad that there are car owners out there trying to keep this sport alive even if it for the sake of themselves having fun.

  19. Define a big list of names. Just because they don't run as locals at your own home track, it doesn't mean they aren't someone to somebody someplace else. If you follow any of the Sportsman series, you'll know exactly what I mean here.

  20. Looking forward to my first trip(s) out to Eldora in 2016, along with a focus on the bigger short track events, while giving up support of the local weekly programs, most of which are a waste of time to watch any way (at least in my little area).   Less is more in 2016.

  21. Regardless...    At the time she brought brought all of it up the first time, her info was directly from Siri. So how is it her fault that the deal tanked and never happened. Hell, There were drivers that had committed to running the place and were telling everyone else the same things.   Yeah, she's a pain in the ass at times, but she's as big a race fan as anyone else here and people continue to harp about shit from years ago. Give it up, move on. Good thing none of you have ever screwed up in life so it can't be held over your head.

  23. New challenge that I am very much enjoying with the keys to Georgetown Speedway and keeping the track going for at least two more years   A positive working relationship with Joe at RoC and the Rolling Wheels combo race, having the opportunity to work with Glenn Donnelly   Some really cool new events on our schedule like big-block Modifieds at Susquehanna for the first time since 2006   Our largest point fund to date, nearly $70,000 for the Short Track Super Series   And a whole lot more, bring on the new season

  24. Once in a generation a folk hero is created in racing. Legends such as Evans, Jumper and CD come to mind.  Someone who storms the scene and is a must watch no matter what track they are on. One that constantly is in the fore front of the news and everyone wants or needs to know what their plans are for the coming year.  In my humble opinion Rocky has become this very legend.  We as a racing community have come to either love him or hate him, with very very few on the later side.  What is even more amazing is that he has accomplished this while racing in the sportsman's divi
