  1. Just a mild suggestion: send them an email or DM with some constructive criticism. Bashing them on here won’t solve anything and certainly won’t improve the quality of their broadcast. Good lord.

  2. Just got back home a short time ago. Big D on Friday. And Port Royal last night. Perfect weather . Good time tailgaiting with friends. Both nights standing room only crowds. Great track conditions. Good car counts. Good racing. A whole new world it seems. Wish I could of stayed one more night.

  3. I’m watching Fonda’s show right now and the quality is great. Only 2 cameras tonight it seems but it’s crystal clear. They also keep the cameras moving towards the action. Great job by the DTDTV crew.

  4. I said 200 miles, but it's really 260 door to door. Left after the Super Late's too. Got home at 3:15am. Hotel is booked for the Lucas tour, Tuscarora 50 weekend and the last two races of Speedweek. Called the hotel to make sure they were going to be open... Green zone good to go.

  5. I said when the NASCAR fallout was happening, the guys most pissed off about what went on were the sprint car guys he was going to race against all summer. If he was 100% focused on sprint cars and the outlaw tour.....he would make short work of that series over the course of the summer.

  6. Did Stew blame his starting spot on why he didn't win?

  7. As a heads up, Woodhull is live streaming it’s season opener tonight for free on its Facebook page. They are accepting donations via PayPal and venmo. Pretty cool offer by them!

  8. Harrisburg west (i.e on the west side of the Susquehanna River) area is a good spot, very close to Williams Grove, equidistant to Lincoln and Port. If you stay in Harrisburg but east of the river you’ll be farther away and have more traffic to deal with. Mechanicsburg and Carlisle are good options, both west of the river.

  10. I too was at P/R last night and saw some good racing. I will be back for PA Speedweek as I will be going to most of the tracks. They ran the races off in good time and no intermission. We left after the super late model feature at 10:30 pm and got back home at 1:30 am, 170 mile trip but well worth the trip. What I like about the PA trcks is they don't have more than 3 classes of cars where some tracks in NY have 5, 6 or 7 classes with maybe 10 or 12 cars in each class. Too damn long of a night where it turns into nothing but a marathon.

  11. I went to Lebanon Valley last night and enjoyed my first racing of the year. I sat in the grandstands, NOT as a spectator, but as a Participant. It was a beautiful cool, sunny evening and people were wearing masks when they were not able to social distance. When social distancing most people took the masks off. I thought it was a good common sense and considerate display of behavior by people.

  12. Wish I could've stayed another night too. Port was pretty good overall, track went away a bit for the Super Lates. Walking in there was like a taking a ride in a time machine to before Covid. 200 miles away is like driving to another country.

  13. YouTube link I know, it’s been a while since I uploaded an RJ video. After hanging up my helmet I got into Flat Track racing. I have now thrown myself into the ground often enough that I’m thinking I may hang up another helmet. With most of us not being able to go racing, I thought this might help. Enjoy!

  14. They did move the cameras, they moved the graphic to the top (STILL TO BIG). But the direction is HORRIBLE!!!! I mean all they have to do is go youtube.com and watch just a couple Rush Hours and see how a multi camera show is done. It just shows that who ever is actually directing this broadcast has absolutely no clue about a racing broadcast. The biggest change they need to make is getting rid of whoever is in charge of that. And hire someone who actually has watched a race on tv before at the very least. DTD usually only has one to two cameras and they do an amazing job. The

  15. Funny, as they announced today how they had made huge improvements to the broadcast. Not surprised. They’d have to make wholesale changes to their production team to get my money.

  16. Something that may not be great news for short track racing is that within the past hour or so the CARRS series has announced that a team member from last week's race at Ace Speedway tested positive for Covid-19 a few days later.

  17. That's right USE some common sense. The looters, rioters and protesters are being encouraged to violate the same CDC social distancing guidelines which are keeping fans from going to the track. It's really cool what DTD TV is doing for fans negatively affected by the lock down and I hope a demand is created for this type of content because it's a win-win situation all around. It seems to me I have just as much right to attend a race as attend as protest, would you agree? The answer is obvious but you really can't go there without violating the rules of this board so DON'T!

  20. I wasn't saying it was the be all end all answer to the original question. My point is that having 17 years worth of concrete data rather than guessing over that time in better than nothing is a starting point to the original question.

  21. Friesen was listed as the 33rd starter but technically he started 29th when the green flag flew at the start. Don't get me wrong was still a very very impressive charge to the front. Needed some excitement as the feature was 'Heads Up' from the heats which doesn't bring much excitement most of the time. Mahaney started 9th by the way.
