It’s going to be a shit show. Way too much for that little track. I feel as though they’re going to look really clumsy. Kind of how Late Models look at the Gateway Dirt Nationals. A stupid novelty, IMO.

Tell that to Kyle Larson. He started on the pole of his heat during his qualifying night during last January’s Chili Bowl. He still ended up with enough points by nights end, after the heats & qualifiers, to start on the front row of his feature. In which he won. In which propelled him to starting up front for the Saturday Championship 55 lap feature. In which he later won. It’s not all doom & gloom if you are good enough.

Single heats without qualifiers or a second round of heats is tough. You still have the incentive of the, must always go forward, but it’s fair for all if you have another chance after the first heat.

I think some tracks and by extension some forms of racing could survive with no fans, but I’d be willing to bet the vast majority of tracks would perish.

Much more money to possibly be won in a late model than a sprint car over the course of a season if one is looking to spread their dirt wings, and Stew makes his living racing. Running speedweeks is a trial by fire for any driver, let alone one making his debut in a different division. The fields there are the most stacked they are all season outside of World 100. Even making the shows will be quite the accomplishment for Stew.

Rob, as a driver I get what you are saying but as a fan it really sucks. It is much more of a show to watch the fast guys come from the back rather than start up front and just start lapping cars after 5 or 6 laps. My sincere question to you is this... if you are fast arent you going to end up in the top 4 or 5 when the checkers wave? Especially after 75 or 100 laps. Unless of course it goes green to checkers.

Outside of Bristol there is nothing on this schedule to get excited about. 7 races between 2 tracks 40 miles apart. Meh...
