  1. My brother and I did the Kenny Wallace dirt driving experience at Albany Saratoga Speedway on Saturday. A bucket list item. We thought it was excellent. Had a great 10 laps. Got out of the cars with hugh smiles. That was fun

  2. How ya figure that? If Brodix themselves are willing to say that there is zero performance reason for it (sounds like slightly sloppy machine work to me) then what would be the point? I'm normally a very black and white when it comes to rules like this, but if what Brodix said in their statement is all that was found this a bad DQ.

  3. The email from Brodix made it sound like maybe there was an ultra slight, non-performance altering amount of essentially "damage" on the head from the valve seat going in (and touches from the cutter) that left a mark in the chamber. So by specific definition, there was some kind of modification to the chamber that was beyond the rules. But, at some point bigger brains have to prevail. If they're going to DQ an engine that they approved and sealed over some scratches in the chamber they're going to need to check every head in the field every week, which isn't realistic.

  4. They have a website and FB page with plenty of info. And they each have message tabs if you have questions (and Lord knows you always do) Have you ever thought about applying for the show Jeopardy? 95% of your sentences are in the form of a question(?)

  5. Some other invaders that will be there; Mike Gular, Rick Laubach, Matt Stangle, Davey Sammons, Brandon Grosso, Ryan Watt, Ryan Godown. Grandview has a car count of around 35 weekly, I still expect a field in the mid to high 50s.

  9. and here is the result. https://nemodfacts.racestatcentral.com/simulationseriesviewer.php Using our driver rating system we simulate the remaining schedule 10,000 times to get all of the possibilities. We also do the simulations "hot", so in a given season if a simulated driver starts to perform better their rating for the next simulated race will be better and the same for a string of poor performances. For each series we provide (go to a bigger screen to see more) the current points for the series, the average points total for each driver at the end of the season, the highest and l

  11. Planning to attend this Saturday, will be my first. I’m wondering if any invaders will make it even though the Fonda 200 is happening?

  15. From Pauch Jr: As most of you were aware we were protested Saturday Night to pull our heads which we gladly did. This motor was a sealed motor by New Egypt's tech inspector. He specifically sealed it himself and no issues were had. When the heads came out they were sent out with no worries. We were notified late last night that there might be an issue. We contacted the individual who we had purchased the heads from and spoke to Brodix. Brodix informed us there was no mechanical advantage and that there was nothing done to the heads. The person who we bought the heads from told us that th

  17. Thanks! Don't take my crystal ball for too much worth, haha, but I'm expecting high 30s for Canandaigua. If you're going there Saturday, don't panic over a few of the teams you see run Fonda Friday night.

  21. All kinds of additions via the STSS social media for the Fonda 200; Alan Johnson, Aaron Jacobs, Tim Dwyer, Rusty Smith (Bethlehem PA), Roger Henion Jr, Pep Corradi, and George Foley confirmed for Fonda. Greg Atkins and Jackson Gill confirmed for Oswego.

  22. Tanner Vandoren. I did not know who it was at the time though. The PA kept breaking up. All I knew was it was #22 before I read tweets this am. I really did not recognize any of the cars except Jim LaRock ,who finished second. Eric Leet was third. La Rock was really hooked up this weekend. He passed Varin for third with just two laps to go Friday night in Dundee

  23. Exactly right…..dirtcar agrees with this with the late models. Both dirtcar and Lucas do the best they can to help the racers by not scheduling on top of each other’s big races. They cannot do it in the northeast and 95% of that is on dirtcar themselves. It’s in the contract that if you have a big block and an open small block…..and you have engine issues on your sds car….you cannot go race the other car in a competing series. You must still attend the sds event in person and sell 50/50 tickets to keep your pvc status and your point money. They also have a provision added a few years ago for m

  24. I don’t understand stand why there is a contract anyways. I understand the piggy backing off the series race but if you put out a good product and take care of the people making you money then why do you need a contract. Does that mean if your 5th in points and you blow a motor and can’t get it fixed and miss a race or 2 (because everyone has 10-12 grand laying around) your out of the point fund for some $$. I was young in the 90s so I don’t know what Glenn’s contract was. Was it because of ROC?? Does STSS have a contract?? To me it just has that feeling that DIRT is scared of competition.

  25. there ya gođź‘Ť The article does not read like Stew declined anything to me One side(Dean) , does make some assumptions

  26. Why can’t you accept the fact that Stewart Friesen himself declined the contract? What is your hard on to bash DIRTcar? Do you just sit around all day waiting to pounce on a topic?

  30. Thanks for the update. I like all of the first half of your post. When I was there I experienced everything you posted. A little bit of a bummer with cautions and one tow truck and some rough riding. I would definitely go again because of their consistency of track conditions, good concessions and very fan friendly. Would be great if they could get a few more cars.

  31. So when the biggest name in dirt modified racing is not allowed to sign the same contract as Mahaney, Sheppard and Williamson….what exactly is that? Dirtcar had no idea if those other drivers would go to the bigger money races and skip a sds race later in the season, but they were given the opportunity. Stew was not because he’s a Deyo supporter 1st. Stop making it seem as though there’s no agenda on dirtcars behalf, everyone with even a small interest in this sport pitside knows otherwise. No matter what side you support, it’s quite easy to see.

  32. John, You need to stop drinking that Dirtcar Kool Aid & look again..In the last 10 years Dirtcar has done nothing but cause problems for the sport.....it's all about the Benjamins for them & they don't care who they step on to achieve their greedy goal

  33. Nobody tells anyone where they have to be. If someone chooses to do something else, it’s their choice. If you are under contract, you have an obligation to fulfill. If you renege on said contract, it becomes null & void. You sign the contract prior to the season starting. If you choose not to, you can’t change your mind 2 months later. No conspiracies. No out to get anyone. No favorites. It’s pretty cut & dry, not sure why so many struggle to understand it.

  34. I’m not reaching for anything. Of that group Stew is the only one that has a shot to win the title and is going to support Fonda over the sds. Sheppard and Williamson will go to canandaigua if told….and Although I like Mahaney, dirtcar isn’t too worried about a 5th - 10th place sds driver missing a race. Stew is a STSS supporter first…..and that’s the issue with dirtcar. Everyone in the pit area knows this.
