  1. Your constitutional rights to free speech tend to end once you start burning government buildings to the ground.
  2. This website is turning into a complete shit show. BYE BYE!
  3. Believe it or not money does not grow on trees. If employers were forced to pay higher wages they would have to raise the cost of their goods and services. Believe it or not most people look to buy the lowest priced goods and services and the average person isn't willing to spend 3 more cents a year even if it saved the frigging planet. People here on this site are willing to spend owner's money to buy this or that for their favorite driver but if they themselves go to an event and it is partially rained out they bitch about not getting a rain check.
  4. In 1968 the "Hong Kong" flu ravaged the US. 100K deaths. We did not stop living and hide during that. It is sad that even a single life is lost to the Corona virus but it isn't a reason for us to all hide in our houses.

  6. It is a miracle that Ryan survived the crash. Hope that he recovers in record time. Restrictor plates have made racing less exciting other than causing more wrecks. Racing in stages and giving people back the laps they lost lead to more people being on the lead lap. This was the last lap at Daytona in the first place. There is no way anyone would back off one bit. Other than bitching about NASCAR I no longer have any interest in the sanctioning body or their races. I check to see how Stewie does and I absolutely adore Stafford but as far as I a concerned NASCAR at the cup level lost me as a fan a billion years ago when they came up with restrictor plates all those years ago.
  7. I don't see how it is any of your business what Mike Mahaney chooses to do or not to do (of course it isn't any of my business what you think for that matter) This message board is a complete joke.
  8. Rest in peace Dave. If you've ever been to the Valley or Albany Saratoga Speedway (or every other track for that matter) you've met Dave. https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/timesunion-albany/obituary.aspx?n=david-m-crain&pid=195067511&fhid=22123
  9. Gee Walmart must be awful. They pay the same as their competitors do.
  10. On the DTD front page is an article stating that Brett Haas will be running both a big block and Small block in the coming season which is great news!
  11. I'm glad to hear that they replaced the front straight wall and look forward to seeing opening day. The off-season has been way too long already.

  13. Small minded people are jealous of anyone who is prominent or making more money than they are and internet message board are a great place for them to vent their spleen. Mandee is to be commended for continuing to entertain and inform people through her vlog. I am sure that it isn't as easy as it looks and the fact that she has many followers shows that she is doing something worthwhile.
  14. It never ceases to amaze me to watch people finding fault with anything anyone ever does. If you don't like Mandee's vlog perhaps you shouldn't watch it. Why shoud she give equal time to other competitors? I just don't get the amount of hate being shown by small minded people who are mostly too embarrassed to give their own real names when they make comments about what other people do or should do?
  15. According to AARN Brett is taking a management position at Orange County and will be in charge of all motorsport events. He will not race on Saturday nights at the track and may have a limited schedule elsewhere.
  16. You'd think that the track would have the foresight to not schedule a race on a rainy day. I've never heard of this happening before!!!
  17. I think money is the biggest factor in deciding to offer the WoO late models during SDW. Declining interest in the satellite shows could be cause by people not being able to afford to take them in. People only have so much disposable income and they are voting with their feet.
  18. Don't give up on pavement tracks. Thunder Road in Barre, VT. and Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, CT. put on terrific racing programs. I hadn't been a fan of asphalt racing aside from watching Richard Petty a few times a year on CBS back in the day until I went to these two places. I'll grant you it's a long haul from a salt water beach. but the racing is great (and now over for the season.)
  19. We still love you John. Thank your mother for the $3 check she mails me each year. Last year's was postage due but we are loyal as hell.
  20. The SDS race at Malta on Saturday was won from the pole and the leader led all 100 laps. But it was one hell of a race! Congratulation on Demetrio Drellos on winning his first Super Dirt Series race!
  21. I used to check posts on the site at least 12 times a day and look forward to finding out information about drivers, tracks, events. While I am still here a few times every day it isn't as fun or informative as it used to be. I tend to gripe a lot but generally with my racing buddies and in private, not in a public forum. It's just a sad commentary on society in general in that we all like to complain about everything but in my experience the ones that dish it out the most couldn't take the heat if they were the ones being constantly maligned. Thankfully the racing life is still fun and I look forward to seeing my friends at the Valley for every event. While helping Lisa sell 50/50 tickets I hear from a lot of DTD users complaining about all the people that complain. It's really a shame as this is a remarkable outlet for information and you can't beat the cost.
