Love the extra something in the air when Brewerton Runs on Friday Nights. Growing up, the whole Central Sqaure School District from Cleveland to Brewerton you could always feel that extra something in the air when Central Square plays football and basketabll on friday nights and when Brewerton Speedway runs. Theres just a extra buzz in the air. I work for Glennwood Golf Course in West Monroe and Brewerton Speedway is always being discussed among golfers.  At Diners and Gas Stations you hear chatter.  Around 4ish race trailers start coming in from I 81 and back roads and the air gets even thicker. Finally, the rumble starts and the whole town shakes. Friends of mine in Cleveland tell me they can hear it. Thats almost 20 miles away. Weather looks great. Looking forward to tomorrow.... If your coming from out of town, ill be tail gating just out side the gates, follow the music and say hello.

Wooh! That gave me chills reading that. Reminds of the song from Kenny Chesney - The Boys of Fall.

I grew up going to Brewerton Speedway and could always here the races on a friday night all the way in North Constantia 11 miles away. Thankfully where i live now in Baldwinsville, I can hear Fulton Speedway on a Saturday night just 10 miles away. Hoping to make it out tonight.

Nice too see new Aluminum Bleachers being installed this season.

The aluminum bleachers are going to take that track to the next level. Cannot wait for the much needed leg room. What a facility that place is turning out to be. Capital improvements go along ways.

By any chance remember the 90s at the Square? Packed Gyms, fights in parking lots, police escorts, state champion runs, purple cards and Al Bundy? 😂🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀

I completely agree... I just hope they don't do what Weedsport did and put those blue plastic things down.

I do recall all of that. I also recall doing the "kiddie rides" at brewerton. Used to love riding around in the Green 00 driven by Leroy Hurlbut. He was my favorite driver. Him and the Blue Camaro 711 of Russ Marsden at Fulton. Throw in some OV1 Glenn Derby late model at skyline, What a time those days where.

Weedsport plastic things would be great if they had backrests , the ones they installed are aweful.
