Haha...ok

It's not just racing, but all sports in general that involve purchasing equipment to compete.....Auto racing, golf, bowling, etc.....People with money to burn can purchase the best equipment available to insure they are the best! You don't see this shit happening in sports like Baseball, Football or Basketbal where talent prevails

Tyler Dipple is not where he is because of talent, there are many drivers racing weekly in this area with more of that than him. Not trying to argue or start a fight.

He's a perfect example of what i said in the above post about money-driven sports. in his case, if they couldn't buy it they cheated...been caught at the Valley, Fonda, one of the Southern Tier tracks & Syracuse

He's racing nascar and is 2nd in points in his division ... one point behind the leader. And it's Rett Jones money, not Dippels. Maybe you should get out a calculator and add up his wins, seconds, thirds, top 5's and top 10's on dirt, and the relatively minimal amount of races he's raced. Your jealousy of him is understandable but your disdain for him and willingness to overlook the facts are not understandable. Not even a little.

At least you're right about Rocky and Jake,  The old fart has worked with some of the best and they have won some of the biggest for him. Rocky has what it takes to win Oswego for him. If they were still running Syracuse, the odds would be even better because he owned that track. Anyone who doubts Rocky Warner's ability to wheel a car is not thinking clearly.

You claimed his tampered with crate engine was proven not to be an advantage and that it false. You have no idea what was in that motor and you have no knowledge of how it all went down. You only know what you were told.

Football and basketball are terrible examples.  You have parents spending thousands of dollars to get their kids into AAU leagues in hopes of making their kid the next LeBron. Then you have the companies like Nike, Addidas, and Under Armour sponsoring these leagues for kids and it becomes the corrupt mess we have today.  The government really needs to stop funding colleges/universities that have such high profile athletic teams.

So realistically, you could have a kid that has more talent but the parents don't have the money to invest into all the AAU travel so they don't get scouted like a kid whose parents are paying out the butt to support this exploitation of kids and get their kid noticed so they can be the next Kobe. Then, they can become the next overpaid crybaby professional athlete.

Bingo. Hockey in the next few years will feature players almost exclusively from families with high incomes. The competitive programs have gotten so expensive that you need to either have significant disposable income or a willingness to absorb loads of debt.

The point is still solid though. If you’re talented you can show up try out and make the team in any sport. If you’re talent in racing you can’t just show up on Saturday night and get into a car and compete.

Hockey is unique though in that most schools do not offer it. You usually have to pay to join a team and equipment is expensive. Football is similar but most schools offer is.

Most public schools offer basketball, soccer, tennis, baseball, softball, volleyball free

While i agree that parents spend a fortune helping there kids get to the highest level of amateur sports for a chance at stardom...all the money in the world wont turn a 5ft 2in tubby kid into an nba player....there are tons of examples in football, basketball, and baseball where the kids talent got him where he is, not money....a lot of those kids come from far worse situations than most of us can imagine....in the racing world...unfortunately money can buy wins without the driver even being able to spell talent

Why wouldn't Jake have Rocky in the car? Especially in a crate sportsman race, where they dominated.

Seriously. It’s no big deal. I had no idea it wasn’t legal. I bought this crate engine used off a guy, threw it in my new 15 thousand dollar number 1 Teo and loaded it on my quarter million dollar sleeper hauler.
