2019 Indy 500 Entry List Thread

Recommended Posts

Well, since we've gotten bumping back last year, let's make this thread fun again!

Ganassi
1 Scott Dixon
10 Felix Rosenqvist
**Sticking with 2 cars

Penske
2 Josef Newgarden
3 Helio Castroneves
12 Will Power
22 Simon Pagenaud
**Castroneves gets the extra Penske entry

Foyt
4 Matt Leist
14 Tony Kanaan
**Could run a third entry, but unlikely with assisting Clauson/Marshall/Mann entry. Carlos Munoz and James Davison on their wish list if this ride materializes.

Schmidt Peterson
5 James Hinchcliffe
7 Marcus Ericcson
77 Oriol Servia
**Will field a third car, Oriol Servia seems most likely. Jay Howard, Stefan Wilson, and Katherine Legge also being considered

Rahal
15 Graham Rahal
30 Takuma Sato
42 Jordan King
**Jordan King gets extra Rahal seat

Coyne
18 Sebastien Bourdais
19 Santino Ferucci
33 James Davison
**Set at 3 cars

Carpenter
20 Ed Carpenter
21 Spencer Pigot
63 Ed Jones
**Third car goes to Ed Jones, who will drive the 20 on the road/street courses this year.

Carlin
23 Charlie Kimball
31 Pato O'Ward
59 Max Chilton
**Team set with 3 cars for Indy

Dreyer & Reinbold
24 Sage Karam
48 J.R. Hildebrand
**Announced they will field 2 cars again. All signs point to the same driver line up as last year, Sage Karam & J.R. Hildebrand

Andretti
25 Connor Daly
26 Zach Veach
27 Alexander Rossi
28 Ryan Hunter-Reay
98 Marco Andretti
**Daly gets the 5th Andretti seat.

Juncos
32 Kyle Kaiser
**Could end up running a second car, would to go whoever brought the biggest check

Clauson
39 Pippa Mann
**Debuting an Indy team with assistance from Foyt

Shank
60 Jack Harvey
**Shank focusing on one-car effort

McLaren
66 Fernando Alonso
**McLaren has announced they'll be a one-car effort

DragonSport
81 Ben Hanley
**New team will focus on one-car effort

Harding
88 Colton Herta
**Team has been a bit of a joke, hopefully Steinbrenner being on board helps get them sorted out. IF they run a second car could end up going to Pato O'Ward or Carlos Munoz

Good thread.

I sincerely doubt that PatO goes to Harding after what happened with him being released.  I do expect that he will take his $$$ to a team to get a ride for the race.

Agreed, what a mess Harding has become. Feel bad for O'Ward, I actually think if we ever gets a legitimate opportunity he could be a star. I'm pretty sure Mike Harding still owes Gabby Chaves money, too. The contract he signed was a 3-year deal.

Sage Karam officially announced at Dreyer & Reinbold today.

Maybe that explains why Gabby was racing against lowly old me on iRacing the other night :stuart:.  I was wondering if I was the only one in the race who knew of his pedigree...

Good to see Sage get another ride.  I want to see him succeed.

Obviously, Pippa Mann isn't the best driver in the series, but I am happy to see her with a ride for Indy. From what I have seen she was the only current driver that ever posted on the TrackForum message board, she did a Reddit Ask Me Anything last year and she has given a shout out to dirt track racing on Twitter when McKenna Haase has won at Knoxville.

Was surprised to see Sato at the top of the speed chart yesterday.

Also impressed by Herta's speed
