ARRA Announces Three Additions to Their Staff of Historians

Ringoes,NJ – Auto Racing Research Associates – ARRA – fast becoming well known for accurate, reliable racing statistics…are happy to announce that they have again added to their staff of capable historians.  Co-Founding member Fred Voorhees released the information today and announces that Area Auto Racing News columnist Guy Smith…former Gater Racing News columnist and historian Mike Monnat and Central New York historian Michael Sessler have joined their ranks and are eager to begin contributing to the preserving of the history of our sport.

Remarked Founder Voorhees, “This trio of more than capable historians will be such an asset to our group of historians already in place and across the nation.  I am very excited about what these guys can bring to the table and the ability to again, broaden our knowledge and resource base with their addition to ARRA!”

Guy Smith is a 39 year veteran columnist for Area Auto Racing News, has visited over 1850 different race tracks…along the way…putting together a very well versed library of racing history…meticulously in order and in depth!  But his record keeping is not relegated solely to auto racing…his stats library is just as impressive in the area of baseball, ice hockey and soccer also.

Mike Monnat was a long time columnist for the now retired Gater Racing News.  A literal walking encyclopedia of Northeast American local auto racing…Mike has served in many positions in auto racing, such as scorer at New York asphalt tracks and has had articles included in Stock Car Racing and Trackside Magazines.

Michael Sessler got his start in local auto racing when at three years old..his dad was racing at the Brewerton and Weedsport Speedways.  Growing up in the sport, he was always a stat hound…collecting and saving any and all racing related programs, yearbooks, etc. in order to document and save racing history.  His field of expertise lies in the Central New York area dirt tracks.

“I am sure that I speak for all of our esteemed historians on our staff here at ARRA,” mentioned Voorhees from his office in Ringoes,NJ “….when I say Welcome to our three newest members!”

ARRA  is a group of racing historians that research, document and preserve the history of our sport…detailing the history of drivers, tracks, organizations and clubs…even single cars that stood out in history.  The group of historians number at nearly twenty dedicated gentleman who continuously work towards the goal of preserving as much history of our sport as possible.  You can visit their website, where all of their work is displayed for enjoyment and information of all at https://sites.google.com/site/arradocumentingracinghistory/home     Associate members Dennis Clapperton and Jeff Zimmerman cooperate in ARRA’s sister website RaceStatCentral and that website can be found at https://nemodfacts.racestatcentral.com/
