To clarify - this was a typo error put into our online ticketing system. Pricing for this show has always been $20 for adults,  $18 for seniors, $5 for 6-16 and 5 and under free.  Reserved seats are $2 additional for most shows.

This weeks Wall of Fame inductee is longtime announcer Gary Montgomery.

We work hard to keep an affordable night out at the races for everyone while putting on a great show. Top level drivers, variety in door to door racing and an entertaining production between races. Our fans continue to fill our stands and racing is thriving in Canandaigua. By the way we have an 11pm cut off so you won’t normally get home before turning in to a pumpkin.

If you can’t get out to Land of Legends this week, be sure to support your local track.

Stay tuned to more info on next weeks racing schedule as we flex for the rain makeups.

Thanks for the clarification.....

Paul is a class act promotor. Pays a really good purse, has made quite a few improvements, and the 2 times I’ve been there this year keep the show moving along. He was considerate to come on here and explain the pricing. Sprint cars add exite to the show. I get some don’t like them but if you enjoy racing like many of us do be thankful we have tracks to go enjoy racing still!

SATURDAY JUNE 22nd will be a phenomenal show that race fans will not want to miss at the Land of Legends Raceway!

The Patriot Sprint Tour will be in the house and we will have TWO Big Block Modified Feature races! (Make up feature from 5/25) You read that right! We will be starting our show 15 minutes earlier than normal at 6:45.

Mother Nature may have won last week and a couple nights, but this week, THE FANS ARE GOING TO WIN!

As you can see on the schedule, the 305 Division will not be racing this Saturday BUT, on July 6th we will have double feature races for this class. We will have heats to set the first feature then we will invert the field the way they finished for the second feature. 305 Teams get a huge bonus with two payouts this night with only one pit admission cost!
(Kids Power Wheels Racing will be July 6th also)

PLUS Legend "Wall of Fame" induction for Gary Montgomery!

Make your plans now to see this SPECTACULAR night of racing this coming Saturday!

General Admission Gate opens at 5pm - $20 Adults, $18 Seniors, 6-16 $5, 5 and under FREE
Pit Gate opens at 4pm- $40

Happy racer and mike,

i think you guys made the track look like the bad person here by charging $27 for grandstand admission . It’s been listed as $20 and $7 extra if you want reserved seats. Reserved seating wasn’t required and seldom do people get it. I hope there wasn’t some one that saw your bashing of the track and doesn’t get back on before the race next weekend and finds out the correct info. Tracks have a hard enough time getting fans now a days.

I know how to read and it was clearly listed as $27 on the website. It has now been changed to $20 and $2 extra for reserved seating so all is good now I guess. Two things that should be clearly & correctly stated are starting time & admission price. Sorry for stating something that was a fact at the time and for having an opinion of that fact. I wish them all the best and hope the place is packed and the gates stay open for the next 100 years.

Though I dont go to LoL much I think Paul Cole is doing a fine job from what I see.  I just cannot go there much because the dust is always out of control. And please dont tell me its the same as any other track. I keep going once or twice a year and it's never been what I'd call 'good'. But I love the track.

I guess my level of acceptable dust and yours varies greatly...

I dont complain  much about seeing the cars as I do the dust normally just covers the grandstands/fans.

I will say the clarification is good. I understand misprints happen now and again, but just say for the people that ain't on here or follow on Facebook and whatnot and seen it was 27 and said said nope too much and didn't look again and don't know it was a mistake, they ain't going. I agree with the other poster, price and starting time start at top of list to be correct.

The dust that night was the worst it has been all year. They started that feature in the bright sunshine and nobody could see a thing. They ran 1 lap, saw it was bad, stopped the race and went back out with the water trucks and packers. Then they brought out the full fendered cars because traditionally, they don't kick up as much dust. When the sun finally sank below the tree line, they brought out the Sportsman cars to re-run that lap and the rest of the feature.

All I am saying is, if that level of dust is bothersome, you might want to go to Lancaster or Oswego on Saturday nights.

Canandaigua is not that dusty....there are plenty of tracks within 2 hours of cny that are far worse on dust. There are very few tracks within that distance that will provide as much action as canandaigua.

I've been around dirt tracks 40 years and raced for 20 years. Pretty sure I have a good idea on what tracks are dustier than others. And it's an unbiased opinion. It may not be much dustier than most tracks but the location of the grandstands coupled with breeze seemingly always in the face of fans makes it a track I'd never go to more than once or twice a year. I feel like someone is throwing dirt on me with a shovel every lap.

Dust is not for everyone no doubt.   But heck , for 21 years I worked at a place waaaayy  dustier than any race track I have  ever visited.

I did go with two semi-newbies to the All Stars race  at Outlaw. They ended up scared off by the dust.  Wanted to leave early.  I had given thought earlier to maybe suggesting the Weedsport show instead? Less divisions.    But these people live a couple miles south of Geneva. so...   I was not sure which way to go.          I ask  people all the time to go.  It is hard getting new fans interested

Definitely hard to get new fans interested.  Then throw a face full of dirt at them.  You have zero chance to get them to return.

Ever been to Thunder Mountain, Penn Can, Accord or Five Mile Point? They make Canandaigua look like a paved track.

Throw Woodhull in there too.

And I haven't been to Big Diamond in several years, but that used to get dusty as hell too.

Funny story about the first time I ever went to Penn Can. The people I went with wanted to go into the pits, so I went in there too. As the races were about to start, I saw some dude walking through the pits with a military gas mask (I'm not lying) hanging around his neck. At first, I passed it off as a joke... just some clown being a wise ass. I walked up to the fence outside turn 2 and WOW! I couldn't see ANYTHING. The guy with the gas mask was a seasoned veteran and probably the smartest guy in the pits. The next time I went back I brought a bandana to tie around my face and brought safety goggles from work. It was better, but not a whole lot.

The only time I've ever got up and left a Modified race before they turned 10 laps was at Brewerton one year at the beginning of the era of Satellite shows during Super DIRT Week.

And I've shot camera at Williams Grove for TV and been sandblasted bad. Been choked out at Eldora and at Tri State in Haubstadt, Indiana too.

Canandaigua is not that dusty.  Worse track I ever raced at was Afton and it's not even close. Full throttle down the back straight and could not see beyond the front bumper.   Frankly, dust doesn't bother me.  I only care about a solid re-entry policy.

P.S. The promoter at Canandaigua should be arrested for robbery.  $40 to get in the pits.  Ridiculous. Give the drivers a break.

How is it robbery when he gives every cent of it back?

Land of Legends is the best run race track in the Northeast as far as taking good care of the racers & fans alike. Paul Cole, Greg Emerson & Greg Hixson make sure of that!

I forgot you had your CPA and audited the their books.  What's the point fund payout for the crew guy who shows up with his shop rag and left-handed monkey wrench every week?  Zilch.
