Just let the thing die..This trying to find another place to slap the name on and pretend it is "Super DIRT Week" is just lame.

Same complaining, same people, same drama, new year. Rolling Wheels isn’t a track anymore. The track @ the NYSF isn’t there anymore. SDW WILL be @ Oswego for the next 7 years. Either go, or don’t go,

Is it feasible to have SDW @ Malta or LVS? I don't want to Travel further, but how long can they do this? (Bring 200 tons in once a year) Are they Big enough for Such an Event?

No !! Proof is in the pudding !

Not enough parking or camping area to have SDW at either.  Rolling Wheels would be feasable if they could buy more of the unused propert to the east of the track. But again I think much of it is wetlands and you would have to bring in 100s of tons of fill. But like I said before, for what it costs to run SDW at Oswego every year Rolling Wheels could be handling and WRG could take the hands out of the State's pockets. I truly hate the idea of my taxes paying for any private entities. Yes we lost Syracuse and needed something, Oswego was a band-aid. But every year Tax payers now have to pay WRG back for what they spend to put on SDW.

I don't think it would of been hard to get the properties from the current owners. Plus states love to use imminent domain to get property, even easier when that property isn't in use. Though finding someone else who would actually purchase it and do the work is a whole nother project.

I know I know.. Pipe dreams, but I can't help it if I'm smarter then New York politicians. As for W, RG they have it made, because in reality they aren't spending their own money to put on SDW.

SDW should have went to the Fingerlakes racetrack. Much like Syracuse, tons of room, a casino and not just a regular mod track. Some how some way they should have made it happen.

There’s barely enough room here in Malta for a regular Friday. The valley could work but I really think WRG needs to work with NYRA and make SDW happen at Saratoga

The land east of the track is in Onondaga County and racetracks are not allowed in the county

Exactly,  unless by the luck of God it ends up back at the mile, it's just another race.

I knew it was in Onondaga, I didn't know about the no race tracks. That's messed up, but laws can be changed.. lol Another Wall in the Way..

Trying to make a track on the fly does not work Only NY option is LV They have drag strip area and strip itself  (no mud ) plus regular parking area Nice tower and a owner who knows more than anyone from DIRT HQ  and it is already DIRT track If they put money in HC track they did at Oswego they would be all set You have 1 million people in Albany area and all the politicians Sponsor potential ect  250 lap race for BB and 200 lap for SB and raise purse to $75,000 BB and $35,000 SB And have lap sponsor for every lap.... If biggest race of year winner cant earn enough to buy complete car there is something wrong .....I can't recall a total failure of track management at a HC run track in last 50 plus years like Oswego 2 outa last 3  years ...They don't get it , can't pull it off and are driving drivers and car owners and fans out the door And with live stream giving dirt style  mods a bad name ....Simple solution make it work at LV How could it be worse ???.....Only one winner today at Oswego and that is TEO roller raffle winner  valued at $34,000 ....announced at 10 am TEO Facebook

I know this had been exhausted before on here but I don't think any track in NY (even Oswego) can really facilitate the conventional Super DIRT Week as we know/knew it. I still would prefer something closer to what Pennsylvania has with PA Speed Week. Race for 9 or 10 straight days making a trek across the state with $10k plus to win events each night. Alternate the support classes each night (358s, Sportsman, Pro Stock). Tracks could be Canandaigua, Weedsport, Fulton, Brewerton, Can Am, Mohawk, Cornwall, Albany Saratoga, and Lebanon Valley. Another idea might be to have Canadian Super DIRT Week a couple weeks ahead of this. I feel like Canada gets the shaft a bit on SDW.

But the racing at the valley is generally boring! Very expensive & the facility is out dated! There I said it!

I would strongly disagree with the racing being boring at The Valley.  Yes, the facility is outdated.   But is not Oswego outdated?

just one thing about LV no motels within 20 miles, back to albany or east to pittsfield mass. your only choice. not everybody camps at the track. and not every one of your weekend car owners has the money for the motors that is needed to win at the valley. seems as if every one that commented on this subject wants it at there home speedway. if i were WRG i would not leave the door open to far there's a man called bret deyo taking this all in.

I'd be inclined to believe that if lv was even a option I don't think they would be screwing around doing what they are doing now.
