BUFFALO, NY – Due to the inclement weather this past Friday, Race of Champions and BEI Lightning Series management have announced that the event scheduled for Friday, August 25 at Freedom Motorsports Park in Delevan, N.Y., will be co-sanctioned, offering points for both series. The BEI Lightning Series Dash and special awards will remain in place for this event.
The Friday, August 25 event will be the first of its kind in the region.
“We think this will be a great option for racers,” stated Joe Skotnicki, Race of Champions steward. “The weather has presented us with more than enough challenges and we are running out of workable dates to reschedule this race yet again. We discussed with the management team of the BEI Lightning Series and we are happy that we were all willing to work together to make this happen.”
