NEW EGYPT, NJ – The payoff will be a little sweeter on Wednesday night, August 23rd when the Pioneer Pole Buildings JERSEY RUSH VII returns to the New Egypt Speedway. After a rainstorm stopped the program in a prior attempt, the 410 Sprints and Modifieds will try again to pull off this always special doubleheader event and the payoff quickly became more attractive for the competitors.
Oliver Communications Group, a telecommunications cabling company that operates in Bordentown, NJ will be offering a $200 bonus to the winners of the 410 Sprint Car and Modified heat race event. In addition, CnB Chubby tossed in an additional $200 for the fast time qualifier in the 410 sprints. It total, this is an addition $1,400 in prize money.
Before the rain fell on the original date, the 410 sprints were circling the New Egypt Speedway in near record breaking time on a well prepared and very fast, racing surface. All eyes will be on the talented roster of 410 sprint cars as they attempt to establish a new one lap track record.
A $5,000 first place prize will go to the winner of the 35 lap 410 Sprint JERSEY RUSH VII feature event and drivers chasing the victory include “Double D” Danny Dietrich, Lucas Wolfe, Davey Sammons, Ryan Smith, JJ Grasso, Freddie Rahmer (recent winner at the Grandview Speedway last Thursday night), Steve Buckwalter, Bradley Howard, Robbie Stillwaggon, Mark Bitner, James McFadden and Davie Franek just to name a few.
The modifieds will chase a $3,000 prize to win their thirty lap feature. Ryan Godown, Jeff Strunk, Billy Pauch Jr., Duane Howard and Rick Laubach plan to be in the chase.
Race fans are welcome to come out early for the pre-race driver Meet and Greet, an opportunity to go into the pits prior to the racing event from 5 to 6 PM.
Adult Admission for the Jersey Rush VII is $30, Children (6-11): $10 and Children 5 and under are FREE! Pit admission is $35 with no license required.
Pit Gates open at 3:30 PM, Grandstands open at 5:00 PM.
