NORTH AUGUST, ONT – The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour vintage series shored up it’s infrastructure this past week with commitments from Technical Director Derrick Flynn, Race Director and alternate official, Mike “Beeker” Verbeek and Series Director Jeff Ciglich.
The three bring decades worth of experience to the series. Mike Verbeek having worked at numerous tracks over the years, including Can Am and Brockville is looking forward to the upcoming 2018 season which promises to be bigger and better next year.
Derrick Flynn brings his six plus years as Technical Director to the table. His role in shaping the vintage modified scene throughout Eastern Ontario has brought stability with his implementation of a common sense rules package that is currently used by both the Eastern Ontario Club and as the foundation for Outlaw Vintage division at the Brockville Speedway. Looking forward to 2018 Flynn remarked “It is my firm belief that introducing our brand of vintage racing through the DMNT will foster an environment of increased stability, sustainability and growth throughout the Northeast”
Series Director Jeff Ciglich will continue his role with media relations as well as running the race day activities for the series. “Derrick, Mike and I hope to see this succeed with sustainable growth not only in Northern New York state but Central NY and perhaps the Southern Tier. There may be a few surprises coming out of the Capital area district but it would be premature to comment on that at this time”
The 2018 DMNT schedule is taking shape and both old and new marketing partners are expected to sign on in the upcoming months.
