NORTH AUGUST, ONT – This coming weekend the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour will make it’s first ever appearances at the Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, NY this Friday, June 1st and Canandaigua’s Land Of Legends Speedway on Saturday, June 2nd. It will arguably be the biggest weekend double header on the DMNT calendar.
The series will see and interesting mix both nights with former Sprint car racer Mark Schenck from Dundee, NY debuting his Mal Lane tribute car. He should be a strong contender especially at his home track, Outlaw which is right in his backyard.
Another driver making his first appearance in the series will be Horseheads, NY native Bob Johnson who also looks to be a factor in both events with his Mustang bodied racer.
Jon Kuleszo of Romulus, NY would have to be considered the odds on favorite this weekend with his experience at both facilities. Kuleszo has racked up many feature wins with the now defunct Mid State Club, he will be looking to add to his totals.
Series regulars Nathan Berry of Athens, Ont and Defending DMNT Champ John Stanley of Kingston, Ont will continue their Championship hunt and hope to park their Canadian machines into victory lane.
Defending Nostalgia Champion Tim Hegarty of Kingston, Ont should see plenty of competition with the likes of Jim Hilimire of Branchport, NY and Oakbrook, Ill native Phil Claussen who will see their first action with the DMNT. And of course old rival Matt Larrivee of Forrestport, NY should be in the mix.
The green flag drops at 7 pm both nights.
