DELEVAN, NY – The first ever visit of the DIRTcar Sportsman Tour will roll in to town on Friday August 3, presented by Cummings Trucking and Dialed Designs. Joining the Dialed Designs DIRTcar Sportsman will be the Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds, Cummings Trucking Street Stocks and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks. The green flag is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
Cummings Trucking, located at 99 East State Street in Wellsville, is the place to go for all of your trucking services. Cummings Trucking, owned by defending Street Stock champion Dennis Cummings, is a proud sponsor of the Street Stock division.
Dialed Designs provides racing apparel and accessories to the motorsport fan and participant. Drivers such as Brad Rouse, Phil Vigneri III, Brian Bellinger, Cody Egner and Jesse Quetermos utilize their apparel. In 2017, DIRTcar split the Sportsman Tour into a regional series. Freedom Motorsports Park is located in the Western region. This Friday’s race is the first tour race in 2018 for the Western region. There are a total of six tour races at various tracks.
Last year, 72 different drivers competed in the series. On July 6, Freedom held a Bellinger Electric Lightning Sportsman race which saw 37 Sportsman in action. Expect a large field of Sportsman drivers from both New York and Canada to be in competition this Friday at Freedom.
Two time defending Dialed Designs DIRTcar Sportsman Freedom Motorsports Park track champion Brad Rouse of St. Catharines, Ontario, is also the defending Western regional champion. He currently sits atop the 2018 Freedom standings on the strength of five wins. Other feature winners on the year include Kyle Inman, Josh Wilcox and Chad Chevalier. Look for the locals to defend their turf this Friday as they battle to capture the big prize and fend off the invaders.
Don’t forget, on Friday August 10, it’s the return of the ULMS Super Late Model Tour brought to you by Murphy’s Logging.
Bring the family out for a great night of racing at the area’s fastest 1/3 mile clay oval. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30. Adult grandstand admission for this special event is only $15, $14 for Seniors, $7 for Students (9-15) and kids under 8 are admitted free.
