ULMS Super Late Models Back At Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday August 10

DELEVAN, NY – The excitement, speed and thunder of the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models make their third of four visits to Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday, August 10. The 30 lap $2500 to win event is brought to you by Murphy’s Logging. Joining the Super Late Models will be the Cummings Trucking Street Stocks, NY6A Micro Sprints and the Pure Stocks in a $300 to win event. The green flag is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday, August 10.

Murphy’s Logging, located at 2228 Elton Road in Delevan, has been in business for 22 years. They are the premier logging contractor in Cattaraugus County. Give them a call at 716-353-4360 for all of your logging needs. Murphy’s Logging will be awarding $300 to the fast time trialer. The current Super Late Model record is 13.924, set by Max Blair on August 18, 2017.

The ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models at Freedom will feature the best drivers from New York and Pennsylvania in action.

Two multi time winning drivers will be making their first appearance of 2018 at Freedom this Friday. Chub Frank of Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania, and Boom Briggs of Bear Lake, Pennsylvania, who have travelled together on the road for years, will be among the many stars who will try to unseat Max Blair from Freedom’s victory lane. Frank is 10th all time in World of Outlaws feature event wins and Briggs has visited victory lane on the ULMS Tour. Blair, of Centerville, Pennsylvania is the current ULMS point leader, and is undefeated in 2018 at Freedom.

Although Blair has won both visits, he has had to work hard as Mike Maresca of Potsdam has chased him across the line in each race. They are the only two drivers to finish in the top five twice. Pennsylvanians Doug Eck of Cory and Dave Hess of Waterford along with New Yorkers Greg Oakes of Franklinville, Mike Wonderling of Wellsville, Dave Dubois of Corfu and Bryce Davis of Hornell have each garnered one top five.

The NY6A Micro Sprint Tour always puts on a great show at Freedom and it was Eric Wise of Wayland who took the top prize in June. The Pure Stocks will be making their first visit of the year and the Cummings Trucking Street Stocks have been added to the show. The Prime Time Energy Services Outlaw Modifieds and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks will be off this week.

The Murphy’s Logging ULMS Super Late Models return for their final appearance on Big Dog Saturday, September 15, when they will compete in the Mike Duke Duclan Memorial.
Come out and experience the special “Thrill on the Hill” excitement that the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models produce at the area’s fastest racetrack. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30 pm on Friday May 26. Adult admission for this special event is $17, seniors are $15, students (9-15) are $8 and kids under 8 are admitted free.
