Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour Will See Tough Competition And New Faces Compete At Mohawk & Airborne This Weekend

NORTH AUGUST, ONT – The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour vintage series will make a return trip to the Mohawk International Raceway in Hogansburg, NY this Friday and it’s one and only visit to Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY this coming Saturday.

Once again the DMNT’s Modified competitors will be lead by points leader Nathan Berry in his Snap On Tools Pinto with defending champ John Stanley continually applying the pressure. Bob Johnson will be looking for his first checkered flag of the season after a pair of thirds in his last two outings. Also expected to compete will be Matt Barbour who ran the first two races of the series and we will get our first look at Kenny Polite who should be very much in the mix. Another new face will be Steve Kearney who will turn his first laps with the DMNT series Friday at Mohawk.

When the series heads to Airborne on Saturday Dan Wood will make his first appearance in the Modified class.

The Nostalgia division will see Tim Hegarty and Matt Larrivee once again battle it out, they had a great side by side tussle at Utica Rome a few weeks ago. Chip Gauthier returns to run with the series and we get our first look at Kevin Perry and Tony Kamburelis as they make their Nostalgia class debut.

Rookie’s Evan Reynolds and Megan Ciglich are expected to compete at both tracks as well this weekend with Evan having a comfortable lead for the rookie of the year award.

There may be some unexpected surprises as well.

The green flag drops at 7:30 pm Friday night at Mohawk and 7 pm on Saturday night at Airborne.
