Selinsgrove “Stock Car Saturday Night” Features Super Late Model Challenge Series

SELINSGROVE, PA – The KRS Graphics Super Late Model Challenge Series will make its return to Selinsgrove Speedway this Saturday, June 8, as part of the Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center “Stock Car Saturday Night” racing program.

Also on the racing card will be the Mason Dixon Limited Late Model Series, rescheduled A&A Auto Stores Pro Stock 20, and roadrunners.

All gates will open at 5 p.m. with qualifying slated to begin at 7 p.m.

The super late models will compete in a 30-lap championship race paying $3,000 to win and $325 to start out of the $16,000-plus purse as part of this year’s KRS Graphics Series with Bedford, Port Royal, and Williams Grove Speedways.

Time trials, heat races, and a B-main will be the qualifying format for the super late model division, which is in the midst of a super competitive season at Selinsgrove Speedway. Five races have produced five different winners, including Brett Schadel of Herndon, Jeff Rine of Danville, Hayes Mattern of Beavertown, Coleby Frye of Dover, and most recently Rick Eckert of York.

The Mason Dixon Limited Late Model Series will make its second-ever appearance at the track this Saturday in a 20-lap feature paying $1,250 to win out of the $5,850 purse. Andrew Yoder of Selinsgrove won the only limited late model race of the season.

The Pro Stock 20, which was rained out last weekend, has been rescheduled as part of this Saturday’s special stock car racing night. The 20-lap race will pay $1,000 to win and will include a new round of qualifying to set the field for the A-main.

The roadrunners will round out the show with a 12-lap feature paying $300 to win.

General admission rain checks and pit passes from the June 1 rain out will be honored at face value during any race in the month of June at the speedway. Any difference in admission price must be paid by the ticket holder.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park, the one-fifth mile track located inside of Selinsgrove Speedway’s half-mile oval, will showcase the return of the 270 micro sprint cars in a 30-lap championship race plus a special 20-lap predator kart race at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, June 7. Any other kart divisions that would like to use the track for practice this Friday are welcome to do that in preparation for the big Spring Sizzler karting event coming up Friday, June 14. Track gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
