CORNWALL, ONT – We will celebrate 50 years of racing at Cornwall Motor Speedway in a great way this coming Sunday with a spectacular racing program and activities for the fans as well. Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro-Stock, will each run 50-lap features while the Mini-Stock will have 25 laps. An autograph session with former track champions will occur before the start of the racing program.
Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals 50 laps…$5,000 to win!
The Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals will run the second race of the series this Sunday with a 50-lap feature race paying $5,000 to win! Yan Bussiere will want to repeat his success from May 19th as he will be part of the great list of invaders coming from Ontario and Quebec to compete and win this coveted event, a quality field of cars means a great feature race!
Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman 50 laps…$1,000 to win!
Will Shane Pecore’s win streak continue this Sunday or will we see a new face in the winner circle? The final portion of last Sunday’s feature was pretty exciting with Pecore winning over Ryan Stabler and Brianna Ladouceur. The car count and quality, has been pretty solid so far this year and with $1,000 on the line we can expect for a bigger and better group of cars for the 50-lap feature.
Farnham Ale Lager Pro-Stock Series… 50 laps
The Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock will certainly have their best field of the year as the Farnham Ale Lager Series is in town for 50 laps. Several drivers from the Quebec area will make the haul to the speedway as we expect nearly 20 cars for this event. CD Beauchamp won the initial round of this series a few weeks back at RPM Speedway.
CJs Auto Weekend Warriors/Danny Lefebvre Memorial… 25 laps
The Mini-Stock will run their biggest race of the year this coming Sunday with the annual Danny Lefebvre Memorial and a 25-lap race, action has been good so far on the track in this division and with the addition of some invaders, it will be more exciting!
The pit gates will open at 3pm to welcome the drivers, the admission cost will be $40. In general admission, doors will open at 4:30pm with a price of $30 for adults, $20 for senior 65 years plus and kids 16 years and under, it will cost $2 to access the grandstands. Time trials are scheduled for 6pm and heat races will start at 6:30pm.
