OSWEGO, NY – On Wednesday at noon, prior to cars hitting the track at Oswego Speedway, all divisions participating in NAPA Super DIRT Week XLVI will rumble through the streets for the City of Oswego Parade.
“We are excited for the opportunity to bring back the parade as one of the most loved and unique elements of Super Dirt Week,” said DIRTcar Racing’s Director of Events, Jeff Hachmann. “Last year, old and new fans crowded the five-mile parade route to see racecars invade the roads they travel on every day. It was awesome to see the event and the city merge quite literally in front of our eyes. If you want to experience everything NAPA Super DIRT Week has to offer, you have to be sure to come out to the parade Wednesday at noon. It’s the kick off to the events happening at Oswego Speedway.”
The parade route will begin and end at Gate 6 at Oswego Speedway. Cars from every NAPA Super DIRT Week division will then take a right on City Line Road, a right onto East Avenue, a right onto East 10th Street, a left onto East Utica Street, a right onto West 1st Street, a right onto NY-104 headed across the bridge, and a right back onto City Line Road to complete the five-mile loop.
Following the parade, the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds, DIRTcar 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds will take on the Clay Palace for an afternoon of practice beginning at 3 p.m. To wrap up the evening, the DIRTcar 358’s and DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds will load up and head to Weedsport Speedway for a full show beginning at 7 p.m.
