Patriot Sprint Tour Event at Canandaigua Rained Out

Rich Vleck, ROCHESTER, NY (May 14, 2011)- Overnight rain and a poor forecast has forced the cancellation of the Patriot Sprint Tour event tonight at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park. CMP Promoter Jeremie Corcoran was optimistic that racing would get in today, but with the Ontario County Fairgrounds already saturated and teams already on the road, the considerate decision was made to cancel early. PST and CMP officials are currently working on a suitable rain date for the A-Verdi Storage Containers Sprint Night at the races later in the season to extend the Patriot/Canandaigua partnership to nine consecutive years. Spring Shootout at La Salle Postponed Until September

La Salle, IL (May 14, 2011) – Officials of La Salle Speedway and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have made the decision to postpone tonight’s $10,000 to-win “Spring Shootout” at La Salle Speedway due to inclement weather conditions.   Mechanicsburg, Pa. May 8   Saturday night, at Williams Grove Speedway, veteran driver Frankie Herr won the 25-lap Blazer’s Body Shop Super Sportsman feature. The Carlisle racer took over the lead late in the event to win his first of the season.   John Garman started on the pole and took over the lead at the onset of the feature. Halfway through his first night at Black Rock Speedway, J.J. Grasso noted that his first impression was positive; by the end of the night he was sure that he liked the Dundee oval.
