The CRSA sprint cars make their first of four scheduled appearances Friday night at I 88 Speedway in Afton, New York. The popular sprint car club joins the modified, sportsman, street stock, and FWD 4 cylinder classes. Admission will be $12, 8 and under free. Matt Sheppard set the tone early in modified practice at the New York State Fairgrounds. Sheppard asserted himself early as the pace-setter laying down a lap of 31.141 seconds around the 1-mile track.
