RL PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCES 2007 SCHEDULE FOR MOUNTAIN DEW BLOOMFIELD SPEEDWAY
BLOOMFIELD, Iowa (Feb. 10) -- Officials from RL Promotions and the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway in Bloomfield, Iowa, have announced a tentative schedule of events for the 2007 racing season at the 3/8-mile semi-banked dirt oval.
An exciting season of racing under the United States Racing Association banner will kick off on Friday, March 30, with the Iowa Frost Buster featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Hornets.
The following Friday, April 6, the Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway presents the 2nd Annual Iowa-Missouri Border War as the O'Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series invades Bloomfield for a $2,000-to-win shootout featuring the best Modified drivers in the nation. Seven-time O'Reilly USMTS champion Kelly Shryock is expected to be among the stellar field of stars and cars as he looks to defend his crown against the likes of Tommy Myer, Brad McEwan, Al Hejna, Zack VanderBeek, Mark Noble, Dean Mahlstedt and many more of America's Modified top guns. The event will also serve as the season opener for the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series featuring USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Hornets.
The first night of track points for the USRA Modifieds will be on the following Friday, April 13.
The USRA Late Models will thrill Mountain Dew Bloomfield Speedway fans on three occasions: April 20, May 25 and July 27. The Mid-America 305 Winged Sprints will visit five times: May 4, June 8, June 29, Aug. 17 and Aug. 24, which will also serve as the Season Championship for the USRA Casey’s General Stores Weekly Racing Series.
The 2007 season will conclude with the 2nd Annual Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28-29, featuring USRA Modifieds, USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, USRA Hobby Stocks and Hornets.
