VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY WELCOMES SUNOCO AS OFFICIAL FUEL OF SPEEDWAY
Jamaica, VA – Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is proud to announce that Sunoco Race Fuels has signed on to become the “Official Fuel” of Virginia Motor Speedway. The much anticipated 2007 season is set to open March 17th with an open practice for all divisions.
“We are extremely proud to welcome Sunoco and their line of racing fuels to Virginia Motor Speedway. This partnership will not only provide our racers with the finest fuels in the business, but will also give us the opportunity to market our speedway to thousands of potential fans at the many Sunoco retail outlets in the Mid-Atlantic region,” commented track General Manager Clarke Sawyer.
Sunoco Race Fuels is the “Official Fuel” of the Lucas Oil Dirt Series, MACS Super Late Model Series and the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRT Series, all of which will be competing at Virginia Motor Speedway in 2007. Sunoco is also the “Official Fuel” of Earl Pearson Jr., Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, Donnie Moran, Josh Richards among other top National Late Model Racers.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track affiliate, is a 1/2-mile, dirt oval. The track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads areas.
