VMS to host car shows in Hampton and Fredericksburg.

VIRGINIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO HOST CARS SHOWS IN BOTH HAMPTON AND FREDERICKSBURG MARCH 3RD



Jamaica, VA – With the season just around the corner Virginia Motor Speedway will hold Preseason Dirt Car Shows on Saturday March 3rd in Hampton and Fredericksburg, VA. The two shows will be held simultaneously from 12 noon till 4pm. The Hampton show will be held at the Russo Village Shopping Center at 2845 N. Armistead Ave in front of Anna’s Pizza and 1490 the Outlaw; the Fredericksburg show will be held at the Hooters of Fredericksburg located at 10400 Spotsylvania Ave, just off of US Route 1 at exit 126A. The shows will feature cars from each division that competes at the ½ mile dirt track in Jamaica, VA.



There will be twenty plus competitors showcasing their 2007 rides at each location, all sporting brand new sheet metal. 1490 The Outlaw will host a live broadcast from 2pm – 4pm that will feature interviews and updates from both locations. The 1490 the Outlaw broadcasts can also be accessed by visiting www.racetalklive.com.



WFLS in Fredericksburg will be broadcasting live from the Fredericksburg Hooters location from 12 to 4pm and can be heard on the radio at 93.3 FM.



Fans, sponsors and competitors alike are encouraged to visit and bring the kids for autographs and pictures with some of their weekend heroes. You will see Super Late Models, Late Models, Sportsman, Modifieds, Sprint Cars, Chargers and All Americans.



There will be drawings at both locations for prizes, with the grand prize being a pair of season tickets valued at over $500.



Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track affiliate, is a 1/2-mile, dirt oval. The track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from the Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads markets.
