JOHNSON CITY, NY.....This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City, NY will make its annual transformation into a late winter haven for racers and racing fans with 'Southern Tier Speedworld' presented by Mike Stolarcyk Chevrolet and Country Town Auto Service. The mall will feature a number of race cars on display, as well as exhibits from area racing facilities and vendors.
"We've had a big number of entries for this year, and given what's happened (in this region) in the past year, that's both amazing and encouraging," said Show Manager Robin Oltz. "The show has become the unoffical start to the season for competitors, fans, and tracks in this area...and a lot of that comes from the outstanding support we receive from Mike Stolarcyk Chevrolet and also from Country Town Auto Service with their Awards Party."
The Country Town Auto Service Awards Party will be held at the American Legion Post 758 at 429 Main Street in Johnson City, about 5 minutes from Oakdale Mall.
NEARA Promotions Inc. President Paul Szmal added, "We began the Country Town Auto Service Awards Party last year as a way of saying thank you to our drivers, teams, tracks, and other exhibitors that participate in the show and it was a huge success...and thanks to Country Town Auto Service, we're able to do it again this year."
As was the case last year, entrants in the show receive a free ticket to the Country Town Auto Service Awards Party with their paid entry. The party will be held on Saturday, March 3rd begininng at 7 p.m. Additional tickets are priced at $15.00 and are available by contacting Robin Oltz at (607) 797-3683. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
