SYRACUSE, N.Y. – On the weekend of March 9-11, the Cargill Exhibit Center located on the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N.Y. is the place to be as the 21st annual Motorsports Expo will be held. For each and every year, the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) has been a part of the celebrated event and for 2007 it will once again kick off the season.

A total of seven cars will be in the ESS booth representing the tour brought to you by Jacobs Motorsports. Defending champion Alain Bergeron will be bringing his championship winning mount from St. Pie, Quebec. Two-time champion Lance Yonge will be on hand along with ESS stars Bubby Kerrick, Mike Stelter, Tommy Wickham, Jason Barney and Cory Sparks. While the two champions will be the featured cars, fans will be in for a special surprise as Sparks’ winged machine will be rotating from Friday night to Sunday afternoon.

Bergeron is coming off a dream season and a brand new Force 5 chassis will make its debut in the US. This will mark the first time ever Bergeron will have his sprint as part of the Expo and the likeable chauffeur will be on hand to greet fans all weekend.

Yonge is always a huge and dedicated supporter of ESS and he likes to bring his sharp #17J to the show each year. It’s a new season for the two-time champ and hopes of the bad luck that followed him in ’06 will be erased come the Expo. A special designed sprint with new colors will greet the fans all weekend.

For Sparks and his family, ’07 is looking to be a big year with the announcement of running the full ESS tour for the first time. They also want to start the season out with a bang as their sprint will be on a rotating table complete with strobe lights and smoke, it will be a display second to none.

The upcoming season is also looking to be a big campaign for Stelter as well. With business commitments limiting his schedule the past two season he is ready to follow the entire tour once again. Teaming up with Tom Bliss, a new Maxim with a new look will be a welcomed addition of the booth.

Bubby Kerrick will be bringing his Maxim to the show with new colors and sponsors, it will be the first time for the Stanley, N.Y. driver at the show. Both Jason Barney and Tommy Wickham made their ESS debuts last year at the show and now return with hopes of A-Main victories as the plan. Barney will have his sharp Jeff Walton owned Maxim on hand with Wickham’s beautiful J&J sprint ready to turn heads.

A special autograph session will be held on Saturday at 2PM with all these stars along with other top ESS drivers such as Jeff Cook, Donny Sharp Jr and few more surprises as a part of an event that has been an Expo tradition.

Fans will also be able to purchase the brand new Jacobs Motorsports tour for the Empire Super Sprints T-Shirts, hats, decals, special race videos from MRE videos and also pick up the Tour 2007 schedule cards.

The Motorsports Expo is planned by the fine folks from Gater Racing News. Joe Patrick and family are also big supporters of ESS with sponsorship of the Lap Leader Award which has a seperate point fund to teh driver that leads the most laps during the year. Also, fans can see when the stars and cars of ESS are coming to a dirt track near you with the weekly ad in Gater Racing News.
