Will Vaught Wins Inaugural AMP State Series Race

The Day Motorsports AMP State Series Presented By American Racer had their inaugural race on Saturday March 10 at Crawford Country Speedway in Van Buren Arkansas.

With the stands full of a record crowd anticipating Late Model Action, the night started off with Kyle Beard winning the very first heat race in AMP Series history. Jon Mitchell then powered his way to the front to win heat number two followed by John Kirby leading the way in heat number three.

The Feature race started with Pomp and Circumstance when all of the 18 drivers pulled onto the front stretch of the 3/8 mile track and got out of their cars to be introduced by series announcer Jason King.

After the introductions the drivers were then instructed by flagman William Essex to go 4 wide for a one lap salute to the fans. Once all of the cars got lined back out, William dropped the green flag where pole sitter Will Vaught dominated from lap one all the way to the finish in the 30 lap feature.

The Hard Charger award provided by Larry Shaw Racing goes to Billy Moyer Jr.

AMP Series owner Christy Hudson was very excited to see the night go so well and would like to thank all of the drivers, crews, fans, and Crawford County Speedway for helping the inaugural Day Motorsports AMP State Series Presented by American Racer race be such a success. Special thanks to Scott McAdoo of American Racer, Wayne Harris of Day Motorsports, Tommy Robinson of TR Robinson Trucking, Phill Bowden of Race On Driving Experiance, Phillip Herndon of Herndon Motorsports, all Media Outlets who showed up and especially the track owners and staff at Crawford County Speedway.

The next AMP State Series event will be April 13th at Beebe Speedway in Beebe Arkansas followed the very next night at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock Arkansas. We invite all Late Model racers, teams and fans to join us those two nights for another exciting show!!!
