FRAM/AUTOLITE JOINS 19TH ANNUAL BRAD DOTY CLASSIC
With a rich history and involvement in motorsports that spans several decades, Fram/Autolite has joined with Brad Doty and Limaland Motorsports Park to present the 19th Annual Brad Doty Classic, set for July 11. The fire-breathing sprint cars of the World of Outlaws will again invade the exciting quarter-mile, bringing their distinctive brand of extreme motorsports action.
Fram/Autolite's worldwide brand is well-known to sprint car racing, as the company was extensively involved in some of the most lucrative sprint car races in history in the early 1990s. The Brad Doty Classic will mark the company's return to sprint car racing.
"Sprint car fans are among the most loyal and knowledgeable fans in motorsports," said Steve Lavallee, motorsports marketing manager of Fram/Autolite's parent company, Honeywell. "They are very brand-loyal, and the Fram/Autolite brand has been a familiar part of oval track racing for decades. We are proud to be a part of the Brad Doty Classic."
"I'm thrilled to have Fram/Autolite affiliated with this year's event," said former World of Outlaws racer Brad Doty, who now appears on television broadcasts of sprint car races. "I grew up on a farm and the only filters we used were orange. When I got my first race car it had to have a Fram oil filter and air filter as well. So I'm excited to have such a powerful and durable brand associated with our event."
Fram/Autolite is the leading worldwide manufacturer of automotive filters and spark plugs. The company has a significant economic presence in Ohio, with manufacturing facilities located at Fostoria and Greenville.
