Batavia, NY—Mar 13, 2007--By: Chris Rhynold, Media/Racer Relations Director
With the annual meeting and the Motorsports Expo at Syracuse under their belt, the 2007 racing season is quickly closing in for Genesee Speedway. The Motorsports Expo was an excellent weekend for the speedway as many people stopped by the booth to congratulate the staff and throw their support to the speedway for the 2007 season. Numerous fans and racers relayed that they will be returning to Genesee Speedway to enjoy the racing action. Mike Martin, Tom Kemp, Justin Chaddock, Jon Rivers and Ricky Newton all had cars on display around the Genesee Speedway booth for the weekend in Syracuse. Thanks to all that stopped by the booth to chat and the racers for bringing their cars in to display.
The next stop will be the first practice on April 14th from 1-4 pm at Genesee Speedway along with the Clor’s Chicken Barbeque. The following weekend will be a busy one for the speedway as the Batavia Mall Car Show will be held from April 19th to April 21st to be followed by the second and final practice day on April 22nd.
April 28th will be the opening points night of the 2007 schedule with Lauterborn Electric presenting the “5 Star Program” with a Driver Meet and Greet. Dirt Sportsman, 360 Late Models, Dirt Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, and Mini Stocks will all be on the card.
