Thunder Series to open with World of Outlaws.

THUNDER SERIES TO OPEN WITH WORLD OF OUTLAWS, ADVANCE TICKETS NOW ON SALE

The nationally known World of Outlaws will invade the Grandview Speedway on Wednesday night, May 23rd as the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presents its' eighteenth season at the Bechtelsville, PA one-third mile speedway. The World of Outlaws and the PA Posse sprint car drivers will clash on the "hill" for the $10,000 to win, 35 lap Pennsylvania Keystone Cup Challenge.

At last years WoO event at Grandview, Donny Schatz of Fargo, ND took the win and later that season, went on to score his first ever World of Outlaws Championship. The title was worth $200,000. So far this season, Schatz has three WoO victories and he is already sizing up the Grandview podium for a return visit on Wednesday, May 23.

Also in the field will be the King of Outlaws, Steve Kinser of Bloomington, IN. Kinser owns 534 WoO victories, a record breaking 20 WoO Championships and won the coveted Knoxville Nationals twelve times. Just for the record, Kinser won the Grandview Speedway WoO events in 2003, 2004 and again in 2005. Kinser knows the fast way around Grandview!

As Schatz and Kinser battle it out on the Grandview bull ring, look for Daryn Pittman of Owasso, OK, Brooke Tatnell and Kerry Madsen both of New South Wales, Australia, Danny Lasoski of Dover, MO, Tim Kaeding of San Jose, CA, Paul McMahan of Nashville, TN and Chad Kemenah of Findley, OH to be the high ranking invades. PA local favorites include Salfordsville, PA driver Fred Rahmer, Lance Dewease, Greg Hodnett, Lucas Wolfe, Jeff Sheppard, Doug Esh, Steve Smith, Kevin Nouse and Steve Buckwalter just to name a few.

Advance tickets for the Wednesday night, May 23rd World of Outlaws event at the Grandview Speedway are now on sale. Adults tickets are $30, Children 6-11 are $10 and kids under the age of six will be admitted free. Advance ticket holders will enter the grandstand area through the first turn gate, one-half hour prior to general admission tickets going on sale. Gates open at 5 PM for advance ticket holders, 5:30 PM General Admission tickets go on sale and race time is set for 7:30 PM.

Don't forget. . .Grandview Speedway will offer a FREE to the Public Practice Session on Saturday March 31, beginning at 12 noon. The 2007 racing season will officially open at Bruce Roger's Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, April 7 at 7 PM.
