Fultonville, NY: The Glen Ridge Motorsports Park in conjunction with The Outside Groove Motorsports Radio will offer drivers a new program for the 2007 racing season. Entitled The Outside Groove Motorsports Radio Heat Race Challenge, drivers will have a chance to earn more recognition come banquet time in November.
Points will be kept during the season from each heat race. The top five drivers in each heat race will earn points towards the award. The heat race winner will earn five points with points decreasing by one. The points are for this award only and will not count in any way towards the overall point standings.
The points can be earned starting with the first event of the season on April 22nd. Each event on the 2007 Glen Ridge schedule will offer points towards the award. Winners will be crowned in each division. There will be no overall winner due to difference in car counts.
Each winner will receive an award at the season ending Glen Ridge Motorsports Park Awards Banquet in November.
“This award program was created to give some more back to our racers” stated track Race Director and The Outside Groove Motorsports Radio co-host Toby LaGrange. “We will continue to offer smaller award programs to further promote our racers”.
