Les Constructions Ultra Sponsoring the Nightly “Blue Collar” Award for the Empire Super Sprints.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Joining an already long list of sponsors from “north of the border” comes Les Constructions Ultra from Granby, Quebec with a very unique “Blue Collar” award that will be given at each Empire Super Sprint (ESS) full point show for 2007. The “Blue Collar” award will be given to a driver chosen by ESS officials that worked the hardest to earn their finishing position in the 25 lap A-Main. The prize? A cool $100 cash.

Les Constructions Ultra is owned by the Parent family, better known as the parents of 2006 Jereco Competition Engines rookie of the year Michael Parent. In joining an already long list of sponsors that will be giving away cash at each ESS event, the contribution by the Parent family just adds to the already record pot of gold offered on each night.

Michael Parent came from the world of ATV racing and is good friends with defending ESS champion Alain Bergeron. Traveling and parking next to each other at each ESS event, Bergeron was able to take Parent under his wing and the experience showed with a 21st place in points despite some engine troubles midway through the season. This year, Parent is ready for bear with equipment stocked and readied to tackle the tour brought to you by Jacobs Motorsports.

Les Constructions Ultra’s logo will be placed on each ESS car for 2007 and you will also see their presence at Autodrome Granby, the fast half-mile located a mere few kilometers from the family business. “The interest by so many of our sponsors for 2007 has just been amazing. To welcome so many from Canada as well just gives ESS such an international flare.” noted ESS President Chuck Miller. “The Parent’s have been a welcomed addition to ESS and now every competitor will have a chance to take home $100 more at each point show.”

A complete listing of all the cash sponsors will be released in the next few weeks. ESS already boasts the largest A-Main base payoff of any 360 organization this side of the Mississippi and with all the added cash sponsors, teams will be vying for a record nightly payout as well as record point funds at seasons end.

Opening race is a just two months away as Gene Cole’s Utica-Rome Speedway will kick off the 31 date tour on May 27th. A field of some 40 sprinters will be on hand in hopes of besting Bergeron. Top stars such as Lance Yonge, Jeff VanDusen, Steve Poirier, Dan Kaszubinski, Jeff Cook, Jason Barney, Jessica Zemken, Chuck Hebing and many, many more are expected to be on hand as well. It will be tradition continued as excitement guaranteed!
