DirtTrackDigest.com - Weather Claims MACS Opener at “The Rock”

The Mid-Atlantic Championship Series was primed to kick off its 11th season Saturday, April 7, at Rick and Ernie Jones, Oval Track Promotions, Allegany County Speedway, Cumberland , MD but Mother Nature had other plans.

Rick decided on Wednesday that with cold daytime highs that were forecasted, in addition to the threat of snow for the next several days plus bitterly cold nighttime temperatures it was in the best interest of all those concerned to postpone the event to save competitors and fans alike a trip when the likelihood of completing the show was dismissal.

Jones and the Series are attempting to replace the date with several options being investigates.
