Limaland Set to Kick Off 2007 Season
Limaland Motorsports Park will have twenty-one events in the 2007 season. "I think this is the best schedule that we have assembled in our ten years of operation. The variety of sanctioning groups and classes of race cars is a race fans dream", said Bob Fricke, General Manager. The Season Opening Shootout is April 13th and the final race is the 10th Annual Limaland Motorsports Park Season Championships and King of the Quarter-Mile Races on August 31st.
The premier event on the schedule is the 19th Annual Brad Doty Classic slated for Wednesday, July 11th. It marks the return of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series to the famed high-banks of Limaland. Every action-packed month will provide a season full of awesome racing action. The following is a quick glance of the notable events on the schedule:
· The EFI/NRA Sprint Invaders will kick off the season.
· Ladies Night Thunderstock Shootout I will feature an all-ladies race.
· The 8th Annual Run for the Rabbit will kickoff the month of May.
· A visit from the Sunoco American Late Models highlights week five.
· The USAC Ford Focus Midgets will be slinging clay in May.
· The month of May ends with the 9th Annual Memorial Cup.
· Our 8th Annual Steve Brown Memorial is the first of five races in June.
· Meet the Drivers Night on June 8th.
· June ends with a visit from the All Star Circuit of Champion Sprints as Limaland hosts a stop during the 25th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek and the Modified Mayhem will have UMP Modifieds from across the Midwest converging on Limaland for a chance at the $1500.00 payday.
· The first event in July is the 6th Annual Bobby Keysor Memorial, Meet the Drivers Night.
· WEDNESDAY, JULY 11TH, THE 19TH ANNUAL BRAD DOTY CLASSIC. The World of Outlaws on a quarter-mile, high-banked track. It's the MUST SEE show of the season.
· Limaland will be celebrating its 72nd birthday on July 20th as we hold our Anniversary race.
· Ladies Night II ends a tremendous month of racing.
· The trucks are back. On the 3rd of August, Limaland will be hosting the 4 cylinder truck class and the Vern Fricke Memorial Thunderstock Select will be contested.
· Look for the NRA versus the 305 Sprint Challenge in August.
· Mini Sprint Madness returns in 2007
· The NRA Championship and the final Meet the Drivers Night will be August 24th.
· Limaland's Championship Night is August 31st, as well as the King of the Quarter-Mile races.
