West Lebanon, NY: The legendary Valley of Speed is keeping a close eye
on
what Mother Nature offers up the next several days leading up to the
55th
Annual Opening Day event.
“There really shouldn’t be any reason why we can’t get the gates open
this
coming Saturday”, explained Lyle Devore, Lebanon Valley Speedway
General
Manager. “We have everything in place to run; now we just need the
weather
to cooperate.”
The High Banks were in pretty good pre-season shape for this past
weekends
‘warm-up’ session. This was the last chance to get on the track and
“blow
the dust off” everything, including the speedway itself.
“We feel good and confident that this will be a great Opening Day”
continued
Devore. “There are plenty of things going on this year at speedway,
and we
just want to get things started as soon as possible”.
L&M Motors, Wentworth Construction, and Heavy Hauler bring the 55th
Annual
festivities to the fans featuring the Big Block Modifieds, Pro and
Limited
Stocks, Pure Stocks, and 4 cylinders. In addition, the speedway will
be
open to the Sportsman class for a limited warm-up session.
