Ransomville, NY...Friday, April 20th, 2007....The season opener
is set for Friday, May 4th at the big R featuring a full card of Mighty
Taco Modifieds, Original Pizza Logs Sportsman, and Johnston's
Restaurant Streetstocks. In addition-the first of a five race series
for the newly formed Bobcat of Buffalo Firehall Enduro class will take
place.
"These are the good old days," comments co-promoter Joel Friesen
when looking ahead to the upcoming season. Celebrating 50 years-this
could in fact be one of the best seasons ever. A total of twenty-six
entries already line the Modified roster before the gates officially
swing open. In addition over twenty entries in the Sportsman ranks
including nine rookies plus some twenty-five Streetstocks fill those
respective rosters.
If that isnt enough to get the blood going-six firehalls have
officially entered the inaugural Bobcat of Buffalo Firehall Enduro
Series. Entries include from Lewiston No. 1 Fire Company-Sam Ricotta,
Gerry Gipp, Brian Pardee, and Rick Hess; from Olcott Fire Company-Eric
Dunio and Kevin Austin; from Terrys Corners Fire Company-Tim Durfy;
from Barker Fire Company-Andrew Steel; from Ransomville Fire Company-
Chris Lederhouse, Steve Harris, and Jim Stone; and from Wilson Fire
Company-Mark Darnell and Mark Brown.
In addition-ladies are you sitting down????-new womans washrooms
are going to be constructed underneath the VIP Tower structure. Niagara
Maintenance Contracting Corporation officially broke ground today-
Friday, April 20th for the new structure.
