Middletown, NY — April 22, 2007 — By John Snyder, Orange County PR

On Saturday, April 28, in recognition for their service to their communities, all First Responders ---police, fire, ambulance and emergency medical personnel--- with proper identification will be admitted to Orange County Fair Speedway for just $5.00. “These people are dedicated to helping others and very often put their lives on the line for us,” said Doug Dulgarian, of the OCFS Steering Committee. “We appreciate what they do and welcome them to Orange County on a night in their honor.”

The following week, on Saturday, May 5, all Boy and Girl Scouts, Brownies and Cub Scouts in uniform and their leaders will be admitted free to the historic Middletown fairgrounds. “Scouting has always been a great citizenship builder. But it’s good fun, too. We’re happy to have all the scouts, both boys and girls, as our guests,” added Dulgarian. Scout groups are asked to inform the speedway office of their troop number, home town, and leaders names so that they may be recognized during the evening.

The April 28 program includes all DIRTcar Rcing divisions ---Big-Block Modified, 358-Modified, Sportsman and Pro Stock plus two divisions of Pure Stock. Blueberry Mountain Ice Cream, C.M. & Son Trucking, Inc., In Memory of Danny Mitchell and Whelen Engineering Co. are the night’s co-sponsors.

On May 5, a Demolition Derby sponsored by Chet’s Garage will cap the evening’s racing activities that includes the Big-Block Modified, Sportsman, Pro Stock and Pure Stock classes. Sponsors are Dave’s Racing Collectibles, Tire King, and Fox Radio 96.7 & 103.1.

Adult general admission for each night is $15.00. Seniors age 60 and up get $2.00 off General Admission tickets. General Admission youth tickets, for students 13 through 17, are $10.00. Children 12 and under are admitted free to the General Admission areas. Reserved seating is an additional $2.00. Parking on the Fairgrounds remains free.

Ticket prices in the unique Drive-In area are the same as General Admission, plus $1.00 for parking. The parking fee goes towards the Orange County Fair Speedway Drivers’ Point Fund.

Advance ticket sales and additional track information is available at the Track Office. Call 845/342-2573 during business hours or check out the OCFS website at www.ocfsmotorsports.com.
