(Sarver, PA) After two dominant feature wins, albeit 3 weeks apart, the question on everyone’s mind is, “Can anyone stop Alex Ferree?” Ferree of Saxonburg, who drives the Butler Pre-Owned #4 Rocket Chassis, is on a roll in the Friedman’s Supermarkets Late Models. On Opening Night, Ferree held off World of Outlaws driver Josh Richards to win the first Friedman’s Supermarkets Late Model Feature of the season. Last week, on the first night to accumulate Budweiser Points, Alex started 12th, moved to 8th, but spun in turns thee and four. Forced to restart from the back of the field, Ferree charged to the front. He went from third to first in one move, passing leaders Mike Blose and Dutch Davies. Once in front, Ferree was unchallenged to the checkered flag for his second consecutive feature win at the Lernerville Speedway.
So the question remains, “Can anyone beat Alex Ferree?” Can he come from 12th, or even the back of the pack again to get the win? Will 5-time and reigning Track Champion Lynn Geisler put an end to his run? Will David Scott be on hand to have a say in the matter? With one night of racing in the seat of a new car, can Sammy Stile or Nick Jones return to Victory Lane? Can Jared Miley get his 2007 season turned in the right direction? Will the great, but temporarily retired John Flinner make a triumphant comeback to the Action Track? You’ll have to be here to find out!
Fab Four racing this Friday, April 27, will also see the Commercial Truck & Trailer Sprint Cars, Ferrante Motor Cars Modifieds, and Advance Auto Parts Pure Stocks take the track and do battle for the right to stand in Victory Lane and howl at the moon!
Don’t forget the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars will be rolling into Sarvertown on May 15 for the First Commonwealth Bank Clash. Advanced and Reserved tickets are on sale now. Call the track office at (724) 353-1511 for more details.
