Attica Raceway Park rained out.

By Brian Liskai

ATTICA, Ohio (Friday, April 27, 2007) - Persistent rains forced the cancellation of racing at Attica Raceway Park for Friday, April 27, disappointing the area scouts who were to be honored on Burger King Night.

The Attica area received nearly two inches of rain between Wednesday night and Friday afternoon with off and on rain showers forecasted the remainder of the day, prompting the cancellation.

After a two-month break from racing - since their competition in Florida in February - the O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions get back to action as they invade "Ohio's Finest Racing" venue on Friday, May 4. The event is a make-up of the rained out Coors Light Spring Nationals that were planned April 6-7.

The likes of 2006 All Star champion Greg Wilson - who won Attica's season opener, Bucyrus Bullett Brock Mayes, Paul "The Masher" May, and other travelers will battle Attica's tough regulars, Lee Jacobs, Mark Keegan, Mike Linder, John Ivy, Paul Weaver, Byron Reed and more for the $5,000 top prize.

The Fultz Fabrication & Speedshop Attica Late Models are also in competition on Underground Utilities/Bazell Race Fuels Night, competing for $1,000 to win ($100 to start the A-main).

Gates will open Friday, May 4, at 5 p.m. with racing action slated to begin at 8 p.m. For more information log onto www.atticaracewaypark.com or call 419-680-5606.
