"April wasn't the greatest weather month so now that May is here and our promotions kick in we're hoping for better weather," stated ninth year owner Vicki Emig. "Saturday's forecast looks very favorable with sunny skies and temps well into the 60s."
"Dollar Dayz" will feature just $1 admission for students 6-15, which is a $4 savings. Also, hot dogs, fries, popcorn, and soda will all be only $1 for everyone. "Each year we like to try different promotions offering back discounts and savings to our fans so it's more affordable for them to attend," explained Emig. "Dollar Dayz is a new one this season and we're looking forward to Saturday. We'll do a second one on August 18."
2005 Sprint Car Champion Rod George of Kittanning, Pa. is on top of the point chase after two events thanks to his first win since Labor Day 2005 holding off a late race charge by Ed Lynch, Jr. last Saturday night.
Rick Hall of Stoneboro, Pa. ended a near two-year dry spell as he returned to victory lane in the Modifieds last Saturday; however, it's defending champion Frank Guidace who leads the points in search of his first win of the season.
Andy Buckley and Brian Booher are nearly neighbors living in Stoneboro and Sandy Lake, Pa. The two are both winners this year with Booher leading the points; however, it's Buckley who tops the win chart since 1994 with 23 victories to Booher's 21.
