BREWERTON, NY – The Brewerton and Fulton Speedways, along with Novelis, have combined efforts to help benefit the Habitat for Humanity of Oswego County. Novelis, the world’s leading recycler of aluminum cans, is collecting one million cans, worth $50,000 to build one Habitat for Humanity home in Oswego County in 2008.
The Brewerton and Fulton Speedways have committed to collecting a total of 250,000 cans during the 2007 race season toward the one million goal. Race fans are asked to save their cans and bring them to the track each race night for the chance to win multiple prizes nightly and throughout the year.
Each race night, any fan who brings in 50 cans total will be automatically entered in a nightly drawing for a $300 value Harl bike provided by Doyle’s Bike Shop of West First Street in Fulton. Other prizes will be given out on a weekly basis, such as free race tickets and much more.
Sponsorship opportunities also exist within the bike and prize giveaways. For just $150, a business, individual, or group can complete the nightly drawings over the PA system. Novelis is also sponsoring one race night at each sister speedway, starting with June 29 at Brewerton Speedway and July 14 at Fulton Speedway.
