Newberrytown, PA (May 12, 2007) – Racing at the Susquehanna Speedway Park has been canceled due to rain on Saturday, May 12. The Trail Motors Super Sportsman, Late Models and Street Stocks will return next Saturday night, May 19. The second round of the Clean Technologies Young Guns Shootout will be rescheduled for next week as well. Next Saturday night, the time schedule will be moved back one hour with the start time of 7:00 p.m. rather than 6:00 p.m.
Racing continues tomorrow night, Sunday, May 13, the wingless ARDC Midgets return along with the Legends Cars and the first appearance of the season for the Four Cylinder Stock Cars and Women on Wheels Stock Cars.
All mothers in attendance will receive a free gift compliments of Fisher’s Farm Market in Strinestown. Also, a USAC Silver Crown car will be taking a few test laps tomorrow night.
The pit gates will open 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Grandstand gates will open at 4:00 p.m. Warmups begin at 5:30 p.m. with qualifying races at 6:00 p.m. The national anthem will be at 7:00 p.m. followed by last chance consolation races and feature events.
General Admission Grandstand ticket prices for Sunday night will be Adults and Teens (13 & older) $12.00; Children (12 & under) are free. Pit pass prices are $20.00 with a reduced price of $18.00 for all pit competitor license holders. The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 14 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 14 to 17. Prices will be slightly higher for special events.
