CNYMS Weight Rule Adjustment Announced
Sodus, NY – After considerable evaluation and consideration of safety as well as competition parity, CNYMS management has adjusted the engine / weight rule for 2007. Effective immediately, the weight for a car with an engine combination from 1001cc to 1202cc will be decreased from 1015 lbs. down to 975 lbs. Any engine under the 1001cc will remain at 915 lbs.
As an added note, three races on the 2007 A-Verdi Storage Containers tour will carry special consideration toward the home track competitors. The two races at Accord Speedway and the race at Whip City will have a special waiver for the home track competitors. The rules for these nights of racing will carry home track weight and tire rules for all competitors. The open draw and passing point qualification will remain in effect for these programs as well as the provisional and promoters option starting status.
