National Sprint Car Hall of Faem induction weekend continues to grow.

NATIONAL SPRINT CAR HALL OF FAME

INDUCTION WEEKEND CONTINUES TO GROW



KNOXVILLE, IOWA (May 17, 2007) - Emmett Hahn. Ken Coles. Earl Gaerte. Shane Carson. Jerry “Scratch” Daniels. Kenny Jacobs. Hal Minyard. They’ll all be at Knoxville for the eighteenth National Sprint Car Hall of Fame induction weekend, June 1-2-3. Of course, so will Jerry Blundy, Bill Utz, Lynn Paxton, Steve Stapp, Bob Trostle, Ralph Capitani, Lee Kunzman, John Mahoney, Rollie Beale, Lanny Edwards, Bill Hill, Harold Leep, Gordon Woolley, “Speedy” Bill Smith and Ray Lee Goodwin. And those are just the new and past inductees. Fans will also see American racers Carl “Midge” Miller, Greg Rilat, Mike Peters, Earnest Jennings, Brian Brown, Clint Garner, Trish Dover, Steve Breazeale, Billy Alley, Jake Peters, Dusty Zomer, Kaley Gharst, Dustin Lindquist, Josh Higday, Bryan Dobesh and Canadian racers Tim Gee and Toni Lutar, and Australian racers A.J. “Skip” Jackson and Lynton Jeffrey… and many, more racers!



According to National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum executive director Thomas J. Schmeh, “Honestly, this year’s induction weekend is going to be one of our biggest ever! We are so excited about hosting our inductees, past and present, and the families of '07 inductees Joe Jagersberger, Bayliss Levrett and Glen Niebel. And then we have special guests like Dave Argabright, Pat Sullivan, Don Lamberti, Doug Auld, Gene Marderness, Gene Crucean, George Peters, Jack Elam, Norman Martin, Dick Woodland, Bob Elder, Pat Woodside, Jim Gerber, Bobby Ward, Vickie Leavitt Agan, and so many others. As Hall of Famer Jack Miller would say, ‘Holy Cow!’ And we have to thank the Marion County Fairboard for hosting the Knoxville Masters Classic and the best in winged 305-, 360- and 410-cubic-inch sprint car racing on June 1-2. What an incredible weekend at the ‘Sprint Car Capital of the World’!“



For tickets to the eighteenth National Sprint Car Hall of Fame induction banquet, to take place in the Dyer-Hudson Building on the Marion County Fairgrounds on Saturday afternoon, June 2, individuals are urged to call Lori DeMoss at 1-800-874-4488 or e-mail her at ldemoss@sprintcarhof.com. The banquet will again be co-emceed by Dave Argabright and Pat Sullivan. Tickets are just twenty dollars each, but they need to be reserved in advance.



For information on the Knoxville Masters Classic & 305 Shootout on Friday, June 1, and the Carquest Night of winged 360- and 410 c.i. sprint car racing on Saturday, June 2, at the Knoxville Raceway, individuals are urged to visit www.knoxvilleraceway.com. General admission tickets for both nights of racing, just twelve dollars each night, can be purchased at the track on the days of the events.
