FULTON, NY – The highly anticipated Victoria 200 Rules Modified Mini-Series will kick off this Tuesday May 22 at Fulton Speedway and it will be a walk down memory lane for many. The series, run under 2007 Victoria 200 Rules, will compete in a 35-lap, $2,000 to win special, featuring any 13” by 92” Dirt Modified tire, sail panels, alcohol, and any motor up to 500ci. Also in race action at the Home of the Victoria 200 in full track points paying features will be the ESDCA Mod Lites, UMP Street/Pure Stocks, and 4-Cylinder Enduros. Race time on the 3/8-mile high banks is set for 7pm.

The Victoria 200 Rules Modified Mini-Series is an unsanctioned 6 race series between sister tracks Brewerton and Fulton Speedways that will lead up to the 22nd running of the $25,000 to win Victoria 200 at Fulton on September 29. The series will feature 2007 Victoria 200 Rules, which are fully explained and listed below. In basics, Modified teams will be allowed any 13” by 92” Dirt Modified type tire that durometers 40 or above, sail panels, any size motor up to 500ci, and alcohol to power the motor.

Each speedway will record separate points for their 3 series races, and the champion from each track will become the only two guaranteed starters for the Victoria 200. Victoria 200 Rules Modified Mini-Series events are scheduled at Fulton Speedway on Tuesday May 22, Tuesday August 21, and a TBA date that will generate high publicity. Brewerton Speedway will host the series on Tuesday June 26, Wednesday July 11, and Saturday September 7.

Ironically, although Brewerton and Fulton Speedways currently are sanctioned by DIRTCAR Motorsports for weekly regular shows, the past at each track is loaded with history under this type of Modified rule structure. The shows are expected to have a much different feel and flavor than regular weekly action, and will be popular with all fans, both young and older alike. Simply seeing the Sail Panels on Modifieds racing around either speedway has many excited for sure.

Scheduled to compete this Tuesday in Victoria 200 Rules Modified Mini-Series competition are many of Fulton’s current and former competitors. A real who’s who of Modified competition are expected and possible with drivers such as Pat Ward, Ryan Phelps, Danny Johnson, Alan Johnson, Jim Mahaney, Steve Hulsizer, Dale Planck, Kevin Bates, Willy Decker, Tom Sears, Brian Weaver, Ted Lamb, Jeff Rudalavage, Tim Sears, Gordy Button, Stewart Friesen, John Barker, and many, many more. Excitement will be abound as you really do not know who will show up for the $2,000 winner’s share. Could drivers such as Billy Pauch, Frank Cozze, Brett Hearn, and Kenny Brightbill, head to Fulton?
