FANtastic Five Back in Action at Sharon Speedway on Saturday Night

HARTFORD, Ohio; May 16, 2007 - The FANtastic Five racing divisions will hit the 3/8-mile dirt oval at Sharon Speedway for the fourth time in 2007 on Saturday night. The evening's festivities will be sponsored by Mark Thomas Ford.



The drivers from all five divisions will be eager to return to the dirt on Saturday night. Last week saw Ed Lynch, Jr. take the checkered flag for the first time this season in the Warren Harley Davidson Sprint Car Division. Rex King took top honors in the Gibson-Governor Insurance modified 25-lap feature. Dan Lewis was victorious in the Tom's Sewer Drain Service Stocks. Alan Dellinger notched his second-straight feature win in the Coy Bros. Trucking E-mod Division. Nick Miller collected his first career win in a sprint car when he took the checkered flag in the Limited Sprint Division.



Saturday evening will feature the Sharon Speedway push truck drivers when they take to the 3/8-mile oval for a race of their own. During intermission, the push truck drivers will battle in a one-lap shootout around the Hartford oval.



Tickets for Saturday evening's show will be available at a price of $11 for adults (16 and older), $5 for kids (12-15) and free for children 11 and younger. Pit passes are $22, and the pit gate opens at 3 p.m.


Saturday will also be a "Two for $2" night. Fans who bring two non-perishable food items for Second Harvest Food Bank this Saturday will receive $2 off the price of an adult general admission ticket. A representative will collect the food outside the gate from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. only. Everyone who donates two food items will receive a $2 coupon to present at the ticket window, bringing the price of an adult general admission ticket to just $9. All non-perishable food items are accepted, but canned meats, canned vegetables, tuna fish and peanut butter are needed most.

The stars and cars of the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series will invade Sharon Speedway's 3/8-mile oval on Friday, June 1 sponsored by Youngstown Harley Davidson and Quaker Steak and Lube. The likes of "King" Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski and Donny Schatz will be back in town for their only visit to Sharon Speedway in 2007. Fans can also see Tony Stewart's World of Outlaw piloted by Paul McMahon battle Kasey Kahne's sprint, which is wheeled by current Outlaw point leader Joey Saldana.



General admission tickets will cost $25 for adults and just $5 for kids (6-13). Reserved tickets for the World Outlaws are just $2 more. Pit passes are $32. For tickets call the track at (330) 772-1186 or log on to www.sharonspeedway.com.
