Newberrytown, PA (May 20, 2007) – Sunday night racing at the Susquehanna Speedway Park found Wayne Johnson taking home the six foot Rock It Pizza sub and the winner’s purse by winning the 20-lap ASCS feature event. Michael Goodwin won the 50-lap Xtreme Stock Car feature. Glenn Elliott was victorious in the Class Car feature as was Daryl Sipe in the Speedway Auto Sales Mini Van feature. Jim Rial won the XSC Rookie Rumble.
Wayne Johnson won the ASCS Sprint Car feature in his first appearance ever at the speedway. Travis Rilat pursued Johnson for the entire race but had to settle for second at the end. Foster Landon, Dave Ely and Andy Shouse.
Michael Goodwin passed Matt Wampler with two laps to go in the 50-lap Xtreme Stock Car race to pick up the win. Wampler ran a smooth race to come home second followed by Tom Johns, Charlie Pensinger and Bob Bender, Jr.
The 15-lap Classic Car feature event was decided by a few inches at the finish with Glenn Elliott picking up the win over Joe Snodgrass. Martin Graybeal picked up third after a two year absence and Jack Yongling and Joe Alder rounded out the top five.
In the Speedway Auto Sales Mini Van 10-lap feature event, Daryl Sipe took over the lead on lap six and went on to win the race. Chad Grace finished second followed by Jason Anderson, Jesse Hitz and Sheri Kitner.
This Thursday night, May 24 for the ASCoT National Sprint Car race at SSP featuring the best 360 Sprint Car drivers in the country taking on the best from the ASCS Mid-Atlantic region. National stars expected to compete include Gary Wright, Jason Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Travis Rilat and Kenny Adams. The home turf will be defended by Chad Layton, Dave Ely
The pit gates will open 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 p.m. Warmups begin at 6:30 p.m. with qualifying races at 7:00 p.m. The national anthem will be at 8:00 p.m. followed by last chance consolation races and feature events.
General Admission Grandstand ticket prices for Thursday night will be Adults and Teens (13 & older) $18.00; Children (12 & under) are free. Pit pass prices are $25.00 with a reduced price of $22.00 for all pit competitor license holders. The minimum age requirement to purchase a pit pass is 14 years of age with a copy of a birth certificate is required for all ages 14 to 17.
The next Saturday night event will be next week, May 26, with the first ever Saturday night Great American School Bus race along with the Trail Motors Super Sportsman, Late Models and Street Stocks. Super Sportsman driver, Steve Wilbur and Late Model driver, Jake Jones will be giving school bus rides around the track before the races from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Then on Sunday night, May 27, a scheduling change now finds the Central PA 358 Sprint Cars replacing the 410 Sprint Cars on Sunday, May 27. The 20-lap feature event will be presented by Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic from Finksburg , Maryland paying $1,200 to the winner. Hoosier Tires will be the only tire permitted on all four corners of the car. The Memorial Day Spectacular will also feature the ARDC wingless Midgets, Legends Cars and Women on Wheels Stock Cars.
