Gates Electric Supply presents 5-Star Program and Human Drag Races.

This week at Genesee Speedway, Gates Electric Supply of Rochester New York presents the 5-Star Program plus Human Drag Races. The Human Drags will be broken down into three divisions. Boys 6-10, Girls 6-10 and an Under 5 Division. No sign up is necessary. All must be in sneakers or full closed shoes. No children in Flip-Flops or bare feet will be allowed to compete.
Jim Johnson (360 Late Models) and Pete Stefanski (Pro Stock) will be looking to extend their streaks to four feature wins as the other competitors look to end the reigns of Johnson and Stefanski.
The Sportsman drivers will be readying themselves for the first leg of the Lucas Oil Shoot-Out as race number one of the series kicks off at Humberstone Speedway in Port Colborne, Ontario this Sunday. Can one of the Genesee Speedway representatives step up and challenge the drivers from the other tracks and take the win?
Over the weekend, three of the 360 Late Model regulars travelled to Merrittville Speedway to race with the BRP Can-Am Late Model Series. Jon Rivers, Jim Johnson and T.J. Newton were the Genesee representatives. Rivers won his heat and sat on the pole for the feature as Johnson and Newton struggled in the heats and had to settle for starting positions near the rear of the field. By the end of the night Rivers would come home 6th, Johnson would charge through the pack to finish 8th while Newton would round out the top 20.
